Redness around foreskin

I use plain KEFIR to treat yeast infections (drinking it 3-6x a day AND applying it topically 3x/day).  We have Kefir grains that turn milk into kefir, so it's not the storebought stuff that has added sugar (which yeast infections thrive on). 

Plain yogurt works almost as well to ease the soreness & discomfort.  Additionally, there are TONS of sites about yeast infections & foods to exclude from your diet - check it out!  Fermented foods and foods including yeast (even cheese) are out for the short-term.  A two-week diet modification can make a HUGE difference in how your tool feels.  Sure did with mine. 

And to the person who suggested getting circumcised, I have to say this: It doesn't matter if you're circumcised or not - if you have a Yeast Infection, you have a Yeast Infection!

got tested for candidia and it was negative, so i do t think its yeast. anyway similar symptoms but not pain or itching, just redness... i saw somewhere swimming in the ocean helped cause of the salt, i swam for two days but had to return home. i dont live near the ocean, but continued to soak the skin in saltwater for ten mins a day. seems like its working, but its hard to tell. worth a shot if your sick of creams. salt drys it out.

i have the same problem but mine is also accompanied with a smell.I can shower in the morning, making sure to clean my penis well but within hours it smells un-clean again. The smell is hard to get rid of and with an erection my penis looks red from the base of the bellend all the way down to where my foreskin would be on the inside when soft if you get what i mean.

I have had the same problem with the redness ring around the forskin after sex but no smell or discharge  .had tried triamcincolone 1.0% and it seems to work with abstaining from sex but after some activity  with or without a condom the redness comes back and stays for 3-4 days ..im going nuts its not as bad if i wash right after sex and masturbation doesn't really irritate it much but sometimes it does i dont know if its a yeast infection or balantis but its not an STD or so i think...i was wondering if any of you have pearly penis papules .i do and  mine seem like they are raised more than they used to be and if so might this be the cause to our dismay? has anyone tried that "secret to removing penis papules naturally" if so whats the secret? OR is it BS? either way just wanted to see if any or you had the same issue thanks

I started getting a red ring just under the head all the way around a few months ago, I went to the doctor after it started becoming painful and the itching wouldn't stop. He told me it was a yeast infection and gave me two different creams after the first didn't work. It never went away and somehow this spread into a rash from my penis all the way back to the top of my buttcrack. I was in major pain and decided that the first doctor did not know what he was talking about.

I then went to a different doctor who told me he had seen alot of patients be misdiagnosed with a yeast infection when it was actually an infestation of Scabies. So I was prescribed a cream that you put on your body and leave on for 14 hours. I asked the doctor if the cream would burn when applied to the penis, he said no. I must warn you the doctor was incredibly wrong about that statement. It was quite a site  I assume for my wife to see me in the fetal position on the floor screaming and shaking from the pain. The end result was this did not help me either.

I then was referred to a dermatoglist who did a biopsy of one of the sores I had on my penis and determined them to be from a Herpes outbreak. This was a shock cause I didn't know I had it... However I am 3 days into my Valtrax doses and so far, I have seen no relief. But I am gonna continue taking it as it is a 7 day process. I am hoping it will help.

I am as clueless as you guys, I wish i could help...Guess I just wanted to share my story, maybe some of the information will help somebody.

 

 

 

Once your antibiotic course is over, start using coconut oil over the foreskin and as well the glans massage and wipe it clean. Again apply fresh oil and leave it. Do not forget to wash your hands and finger nails else you may infect your eyelids, nose, ear lobes etc... Oil certailnly helps.

I had a red sore in the same spot, and I am circumcised. Along with it I had bumps all over my, hips, butt, and below the belly button. I was tested for Herpes type 1 and 2 and I was negative, so now I don't know what it was. It went away with gold bond - but the pain was something that I don't want to remember. I get mixed reviews, but apparently herpes for me was ruled out.

Drove me crazy too. Neosporin didn't work, hydrocortisone didn't either. Then...betamethasone dipropionate ointment 0.05% cleared it up in two days. Not over the counter but I think some jock itch creams might have some in them at lower dosage levels.

I had the same problem I'm only 14 and i went to the doctor twice and both of times he gave me steroid lotion and cream , he said to wash it more and then apply the cream after to for the inflammation to go away, cause all the ring is a inflammation from when the foreskin is revealed.

Use dermol 500 if simple soap unscented doaent work. I cycle everyday and I only got this by exercising. Change underwear everyday too. If flare up occurs use dermol 500 you get it from doctor. It is a skin problem that I get if I use perfumed soap products.

I'm 15 and never had sex, so I don't think that I have caught any sort of STDs but I do masturbate quite frequently, I'm worried In case somehow I do have a yeast infection and pass it over to my girlfriend if we do have oral seImitates not that red, it's mainly worse after masturbation I only shower once a day but I do clean it properly. It's red around the ring a little and more visible when I pull my foreskin back. So I don't really know what to dokoi think it may just be from the masturbation because I do it once a day.

I've had this two for 3 months although mines was usually all the time, I had thrush (yeast infection) and seen quite a few doctors about it the creams didn't really work and what doc said the pain was Coming from the dry skin and dead cells that would lie on the forskin after using the creams but after a while mines is slowely getting better after using cansten cream and a moisturiser give that a try
