I just pulled mines out and omg I was so scared at first because I thought I was gonna rip out my uterus or something. But after I calmed down and relaxed I went in the bathroom, kinda hovered over the toilet like I'm going to go pee, and I slowly pulled the strings until it was out. I felt no pain at all. No joke. I laughed after cuz I was so scared for no reason. Seriously it's so easy!!

I have had my iud in for about 5 1/2 years and it's way to expensive to get it out the doctors wanna charge 250$ to get the little thing taken out. I was supposed to get it out in September of 2016 and now it's April 2017 last time I was at the doctors they said that it's not imbeded so I was curious if I can just take it out myself. I am terrified tho. I really want another kid, but with how long I've had it in idk if it will effect me any as well as pulling it out. I need some advice please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've had mine for close a year and it's the worse decision I've ever made. I'm cramping all the time, my menstral cycle last longer with lighter bleeding. I use to be a 7 day kind of girl. Now I'm 3 weeks. Gained 50 lbs no matter how hard I worked out and ate healthy. Was there any pain when pulling it out?

I did it yesterday! I googled it and saw a post from tons of women and did it.
It was just as easy as tampon removal. I have to say I was scared but so so happy it's gone. I still have some fatigue but I swear I feel better. The advice I saw was once you locate the string, stay calm and confident and pull very very slowly. I got a cramp for about 30 seconds once it came out but that was that. Very easy. I only had it in about a week but it was all wrong for me. It's super easy just stay calm and relax and be slow.

Done after Googling! (seems many have) as spent an hour waiting at doc's to be told it needs a double appointment. I prepared myself as fainted getting it in so I wasn't waiting any longer. 5 seconds it took! A little cramping but feel grand. Hope it helps ppl like me

I have just removed mine by myself without any trouble. If I knew it would be so easy I would have done it the day after its insertion. even three weeks can feel too long with mirena.

Nope so long as you pull very very slowly..... No different to removing a tampon..... I've literally just done mine, no discomfort what so ever

I only had mine in on Sept 15, worst day of my life, I've suffered depression, fatigue, hair loss, hives and constant bloating! So I have taken it out myself, wish I'd done it sooner, I knew from day one it wasn't for me!
