I actually use hydrogen peroxide n warm water i read that hydrogen peroxide is actually a natural byproduct of healthy vaginal flora so i tried it and its great. Cheap and effective along with good hygene. No bad side effects. If you use too much peroxide it burns a little but nothing horrible. I wouldnt do it too often as you want to let your body re establish matural balance but a good douch of it ince ot twice works well.

It's going through the change. I'm 46 and I am spotting just using a panty liner. Last period was the same smell. Menopause.

This is my exact situation and I agree 100% with your scenario now that I've identified the exact same chain of events. The question now is, is there anything that can be done to help this situation?

Only practice these steps if you'd like to worsen the problem. Baby powder and perfume? It has always been known perfume did not belong any where near your lady parts and the problems we're learning about the application of baby and talcum powders to your most sensitive place is terrifying. There are many options to assist women in recieving medical care. Many health departments can offer viable information. Always google for a planned parenthood near you.

It’s not a tampon. I’m 44 and I’ve been having the same bad odor for like 3years. It may be associated with age. It’s sad though. It smells like a boo boo diaper smh. The things women go through.

I want to thank you so much for this post. This started happening to me a few months ago. And I'm definitely in perimenopause. I wish there was an easy solution. It's hormone related. The hormones fluctuate drastically and if you don't actually release an egg, you end up with a non-ovulatory period where the lining builds up to prepare for the egg release. But since the egg never actually releases, the body still keeps holding onto the lining waiting. Then eventually the hormone levels change again (not to the levels that it should when it's a young body) and then sheds the lining. The lining is not the same as it is when there's an egg and thus starts decaying while still inside, hence the nasty over-cooked broccoli, rotting meat smell. If there is even lower progesterone, then it doesn't shed at all and can develop into uterine cancer. Which is similar to the issues with PCOS... that is a progesterone related issue.

I had that same problem for over a year with no other symptoms, I recently was treated for a really bad uti where they prescribed me cipro. I no longer have the smell, fewer blood clots, and my period is almost 3days shorter. There are so many women suffering with this so don't feel alone. Also, I've had normal paps and the doctor couldn't find anything wrong. Only because I got the uti and took the cipro my situation got better.
