Sebaceous Cyst on Penis Shaft (Seriously

I had the same thing. I had no idea what it was or how to get rid off it. Finally i summoned up all my courage and went to see a doctor. The doc told me it was a sebaceous cyst and that i can get it removed surgically if I want. He reffered me to a urologist. The urologist told me that he can remove it surgically in his office for a fee or in the hospital for free since I have medicare (I live in canada so its free). So i choose the hospital option. It was a quick precedure, he cut it open removed the cyst and stitched it up. In all it took about 10 minutes to do. The only problem was that the stitches riped open on the first day because of erections, but the doc said that was okay. the doc said to just keep applying polysporin until it healed. It healed up normally and im very happy with the results. Its so much better then having a big bump down there!

I believe I have figured out a somewhat out of the ordinary, but simple solution. I will post this to other forums in the hopes of helping out some others.

PROBLEM - Like everyone else in this forum, I discovered a hard bump on the shaft of my penis (underside, middle). I noticed it about two months ago. It was about the size of a pea, very hard, painless and felt like it moved around under the skin. It was very prevalent when I had an erection.

RESEARCH - I searched endless medical websites and forums to determine what this was and if there were any home remedies available. I determined that this is most likely a sebaceous cyst and like you, I have read many, many different options but none seemed to be consistent except for one...HEAT. Heat should slowly melt the sebum in the cyst and it will be absorbed by the body. The majority of people said that heat did work but it took a while and we are probably all in the same boat when it comes to time. I did not have enough time to sit around all day with a heating pad on my crotch, my schedule just doesn't permit.

SOLUTION - I decided to try something a little different. I got some disposable hand warmers that are available in the camping section of most stores that sell that stuff and some surgical tape. Before bed I opened one of the hand warmers, loosely wrapped it around my penis and secured it loosely with the surgical tape. I did the same thing in the morning after my shower. I figured that these handwarmers do not get too hot, they last for 8-10 hours and this could be a great way to keep constant heat on the cyst. I could keep it on while I am asleep and while I am at work. I started this process about three days ago and this morning as I write this, the cyst is almost completely gone. I am still unsure if it will come back or not but it has definitely worked as a fast, affordable, surgical free and drug free option. After reading all of the other forums and posts I do fear that it might come back in time but right now I am thrilled with my solution. I guess time will tell.

Hopefully this will help some of you guys out with this problem. I know how you all have felt and like me, you probably didn't want to have surgery to remove it.

"id say not to try popping it.. i have had 2 so far, and popping the first one just made it come back. so i had it removed by a doctor, now i have another one in a different location.

from what ive been told, these can be hereditary and passed down from a parent or relative, and cannot be COMPLETELY removed by popping them and draining the insides, this just prones you to infection and a more serious problem.

my advice: Dont self-medicate.. you will most likely regret it.

when the doctor removed the cyst did it hurt? would really like some feed back as to whether it hurts getting the cyst removed from your penis from a doctor? lol

Buy a soldering iron and burn it off yourself. Tap on the cyst area a few times with the iron hot. The skin will become numb. Then wait till the scab falls off (2 or 3 days) and the white mass will apprear. Take out the iron again and burn the white mass till its all gone. Wait another 7 - 10 days and it will be gone. Make sure to wipe the area and the iron with alcohol first. After buring use neosporon pain everyday. I keep a soldering iron around to burn off any nasty thing that jumps on my penis. I am not a MD. i have the same damn thing.  i looked up cyst on penis on google and it looked exactly the same as one of the pitchures.  i'm seriously getting pissed at it. i thought that it would have went away by itself, but now it's been there for probly like 8 months.  i think i'm gonna lose my virginity in a couple of weeks or sooner(seriously). i want it to go away soooo bad.  i don't want to be getting a blowjob and have the girl say "hey, what the hell is this bump on your penis?"  i kind of want to take something sharp, sterilize it, and genly cut the skin and take it out.  idk yet, i just know that i really want it gone within like 2 weeks

i totally agree with you dude. i have one on the upper left of my shaft. it is exactly like the one that you described(like a tiny stone under the skin that doesn't hurt). my friend keeps trying to get me laid, and i'm afraid to do it because i don't want to be having sex with a girl, and have the girl say "what the hell is this bump on your penis". i really want it gone because i think i'm gonna lose my virginity in a couple of weeks(seriously)

K you guys, i know everyone deals with these kind of problems, iv been working about little stones on my penis for years..
I developed a very large one as a child growing up on the left side of my penis and had to get it surgically removed at the hopsital, its no longer there but there is a scar but i would rather have that than a cheesy lump..  Anyways, for the last years i have developped a smaller oin the right side, it was maybe 1/4 of a grain of rice when spread out.. i also had pearly penil papules under the head of my penis, about 2 on the left side and 5 on the rigiht.. Finally i decided i have frikkin had enough.. I took my nail clippers, snipped off every single papule i had,  i took off the little circle head. Took the clippers, made my cyst on the right apparant, and clipped it off precisely being sure i didnt take any of the skin off. It initially hurts when ur squeezing the skin but if u do it in a quick motion once u get passed 1 second of pain its easy.. u will see the sac its a brownish color and its almost rubbery.. its really easy!

I had one on my back for years, it got irritated and sore one summer, erupted, doctor gave my strong antibiotic (keflex).  It has not come back.  I have one down there now, leaving it alone, nature will take care of it, eventually

ive had one of these hard white lumps under the skin for about a year now, about the size of a pea. at first i went to a clinic to me sure it was nothing too serious like an std, ofc they said it was just a sebaceous cyst.

since then i searched the internet and decided to try and cut it out myself with nail scissors, after an hour and alot o blood i decided it didnt want to come out. after waiting for the cut to heal (abt 2 weeks) i tryed the heat pad method that was reccomended but after 2 weeks it had not changed in size even tho sometimes sleeping with one over it.

so after that fiasco i decide to go to my Dr (im not a fan of having to show my penis to people i dont know, the 2 ppl at the clinic were more than enough!) my doctor tells me that its a sebaceous cyst and that due to the way NHS is (england) at the moment that it couldnt be removed?! even after insisting that i need to do somthing about it my Dr said that basically theres nothing i can get done to get rid of it if its not hurting me, so just live with it or come back if it gets bigger.. Great! had to show it to another person with no results. Im lost at what to do now as i really want it gone. only thing i can think of is to try some salactol? any help someone pleasssssssssse!

i had a cyst a small one a few months ago i tried popping it and my penis became infected and the penis fell of so just have the beans left i should have seen the doc but thought i could deal with it myself its ruined my life

Hey guys, this is a very unfortunate forum to have an entry on lol but yes i myself have had a cyst (and the reason im looking this up is because i have ANOTHER ONE! =[ ) ...the first one i got, i too sterilized scissors and cut it off myself (which i will proboly do again to this next one) ...i have a little scar which kind of sucks (expecially now knowing ill have two. I just "removed" my cyst. It was very largre, 1.5cm in diameter, high and very noticeable. It started from a normal fordyce spot thhat got infected about a year ago. I tried all the natural methods hot water pad, castor oil etc. none of them worked for me, maybe because it was allready too big. I do believe that they work in normal sizes cause castor oil is awesome against zits for example.  I got ice, razor, antiseptics and antiseptic bandanas. I made the cyst numb with ice and I really didn't feel a thing when I made the cut. The whole capsule didn't come out, I tried with force but still, is it supposed to be there? But then I made cut to the sac and lot of pus and blood came out (the pus wasn't hard, as I thought), it flied everywhere. Lot of blood came out but not as much as In thought, hope this will turn out fine and don't re-appear, these things can really ruin lives. Now I'm just waiting for the cut to heal, praying and eating healthy, I will post results soon, I promise. Take care all with same situation.

I've got a few tiny ones and every now an then I get a big one, I'm only on my second. On the first one I was at the Hospital because of problems in my balls, went through alot of scans....Anyways, I finally asked a Doc' to check this lump out as it started to give out puss. He said there is nothing wrong, it's not a STI/STD don't worry about it. He gave me some cream that I put on three times a day for 5 days. It calms it down, and makes it so it doesn't become infected; The creame is called Polytax Ointment 20g, well it's more a gel.

i have dealt with this BS since i was 12.i wasnt worried about it being an std since i got them way before.i am not bad looking but i am embarrased to be intimate with a girl.i am 26 and havent had a gf since i was 16.when i was younger id get frustrated and i used a pair of toenail clippers to rip them out.once i got the skin open id press down and this white thing would stick out but wouldnt pop out.i used the clippers to clip it off.those few glands are gone now with ugly looking scars and theres like 100 more to go lol,so pretty much it was for nothing.

but as of lately they have gotten infected.on the bottom of my penis there are "lines" of these sebaceous glands.the whole "line" is infected.it doesnt hurt to touch but its disgusting to look at and it wont go away.its swollen and jsut red and you cannot see the white spots anymore its so swollen.i went to the doc and she gave me keflex.i took them all and it did nothing,but a few days after i was done taking them i noticed a dark purple spot.i squeezed it and blood/pus shot out.the next day i noticed a huge difference and it looked like the whole thing was going away.but then today it looks like theres still a pocket left that wont swell down grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.i feel like slicing it deep with a razor blade and scrubbing it with alcohol or something.im so tired of this sh*t!
