I had my obaltion completed 12/1th and I have been cramping, bleeding discharge for over a week, bloating like I am 8 mnths pregnant, sore breast, hot flashes, moody, urine issues with my bladder, bowel issues. I wanted the hysterecomy because I had a tubal 20 years ago , have three fibroid tumors, low blood levels, and severe problems with blood clots on my several month cycle.
Hi, I just read through your posts and want to tell my story. I had precedure ten days ago today. My partner is an OBGYN so we went to her mentor and friend, who is amazing. However, I didn't get much info before or after precedure. My partner is MFM specialis so she doesn't do this precedure. My periods were extremely heavy and I just couldn't take it anymore.
So first day of precedure I had tolerable cramping which I took percocet 5mg for second days as well but only one each day. I suffered from awful bloating gas pain like never before bit thought it was due to percocet. Now, ten days out I still have very light bleeding ( pinkish). However, I've been super bloated and my rectum, not to be super graphic, feels like it's going to prolapse. I've had numerous BM yesterday and the bloat has all my clothes crazy tight where I'm glad I wear scrubs to work. I just tried on jeans and it wasn't pretty. I know it's gas like bloating because I get c**p like pain in different places in my lower abdomen. Seems like every time I eat I have to have a BM five minutes after.
I've spoken to two friends that have had this precedure and both have not had periods or my symptoms. Here is hoping I'm good. Atleast if I'm not I can get my friend to hook me up with a hysterectomy. I'm not saying this was a bad move yet, but let's see what a few months brings. Oh, and my dr did same that mine was a " text book" case.
I had the Novasure done on 1/17/17 and right after the surgery i felt awesome a big burst of energy i asked if i could return to work and the respond was yes the very next day.. Please read this you can not return to work you have to allow at least 2 days complete rest and i mean just that no walking, lifting or doing any extra. My ob was quick to make it sound like it was a simple procedure.. do your research thoroughly before going through with this which i should have done more. before the procedure i had severe cramps and a fibroid and now a days no one wants to give you pain medicine so worried about addiciton so they opt to oprerate knowing that the recovery is the worse part and don't want to treat you for pain like they should or knowing it may lead to you having your uterus removed anyway. its just a business to some people. yes it is a simple procedure but you must read the cons on having it is it worth it?? Seriously i refuse to have a hysterometry hell no.. and i won't unless it life threatening. i was told not to get this by some friends on facebook and i was like no it will work. i was on my period at the time of the operation and i am having the same symptoms as if my period was there. i have severe gas and bloating my stomach was already bloated a little now you can see the bloat as if i am prego. it feels like i am getting pregnant symptoms and i read a few people say it took their moisture from the vagina OMG i hope that doesn't happen to me. i would be devastated we should still be able to function as women i know their are always side effects but a doctor who truley cares for a patient and not worried about money will tell you the real and keep it 100 but we as patients have to research more because its out here to read and not everyone is the same but when the majority is experiencing the same symptoms its a problem and yes i have craved food and been starved as if i hadn't ate in years. not only that i suffer from thyroid please don't do this if you don't have too i have also experienced non stop headaches since the procedure each money and throughout the day i can't get any relief on the bloating i will keep you all updated as i have scheduled an appointment this afternoon
