I have been having all the EXACT same symptoms for the last six months and thought I was going crazy. The doctor kept saying it was stress/IBS. After persistent nagging, he gave me a blood test and found the H-Pylori bacteria in my stomach. I took two weeks of antibiotics but I am still no better. My stomach looks like I'm carrying an alien child, it is so distorted and solid and I can't fit it any of my pants which is so horrifying for me since my entire life I have had a washboard stomach. I don't want to be seen in public. I burp like a fiend and all you have to do is push on my belly and a massive onset of belching occurs. I get pain in my right side and lately at night I get pain in my lower back and round into my ovaries. I am going to go and see a gastro doctor next week to hopefully get some answers. But I CANNOT take much more of it. I am uncomfortable all day long and sometimes I think my stomach is going to explode. I rarely poop. Maybe once a week and it never feels like I am actually emptying my bowels. I feel your pain!!! I hope that we can all find a solution soon.

Did you talk to your doctor about extending your antibiotics regimen or trying a different one? I think that would be a good idea. Let me know what happens when you go to the gastro. Thanks!

I have the EXACT same problem. My friends at work were joking that I might be pregnant. (I'm not)
I feel like there is a bowling ball in my stomach after I eat and I can barely stay awake when I get home.
In fact I fall into a deep sleep all the time. I'm going to try a candida cleanse and go see a Naturopath.

Has your doctor talked to you about polycystic ovarian syndrome (pcos)? That can cause a lot of similar problems like you wouldn't believe. If you want to read the symptoms then you should try this website ***edited by moderator*** web addresses not allowed. Unfortunately the doctors are stubborn about this condition and don't like to talk about it most of the time. Also don't want to admit it causes severe problems unless you find a really good doc. Can cause weight gain, gas, and lower pelvic pain from the cysts on your ovaries. Also can cause irregular periods, digestive issues and others. Hope this helps even a little bit. I have pcos and am in a pretty miserable situation too so I sympathize.

Did you ever find out what was going on. I have exactly the same symptoms and now I am even getting a little pain on my right side.

You all have Candida for sure!!! Look it up.... its difficult to get rid of but cutting down on sugar and taking supplements such as Pau' D arco and Caprylic Acid will really help. Tiredness... bloating... digestive problems, especially the discharge. And be aware that most doctors dont recognise candida as a systemic condition (rather they treat it as a local problem such as thrush). Best to see a practitioner with a holistic approach (homeopath, herbalist etc)

Wow Ladies! Here I go with another ME TOO!!! In the past two years I've generally felt slightly bloated, but occasionally and suddenly my stomach will swell up like a balloon. My belches taste and smell awful, like sulfer, and and gas just doesn't quit. I have spent some nights just sleeping next to my toilet praying to barf! No lump or discharge though. Talk about un-lady-like! Have any of you looked into giardia? I'm about to read up on candida. I think I'll to print up this whole page the next time I go to my doctor. I have found one thing that helps a lot though - go organic, especially with meats. I ate only organic for three weeks and I felt like fit and thin all over again. As soon as I ate non-organic the pain was back with a vengence. I am back to organic and oh what a relief it is!

I had a similar problem & I was going mad! After a 1 & 1/2 years of Dr. visits, expense & frustration I figured it out to be Fructose malabsorption (can be onset by STRESS) If you look up foods to avoid a lot of them I would consider healthy foods but apparently if you can't absorb them they will give you similar symptoms ibs & Celiac disease

Hey all!

I am adding myself to this ever increasing list of me too!

I have had mild IBS for 10 years but 3 years ago I got a cold and it all got so much worse. Since then I have been bloated every day, ranging from mild bloat to full on skin stretching bloat.

Symptoms I have had include joint / muscle aches, exhaustion, depression, constipation, trapped wind, excess gas, irritability, etc. Blood test came back perfect (had therapy to overcome a needle phobia to find that out!), ultrasound was clear.

Things I have tried over the years:

1 - hormones. I was on a Progesterone heavy pill for years, changed to an Oestrogen heavy one just before this happened. Oestrogen I have found can make candida worse and certainly with me, it made me really depressed. I now have Progesterone coil thing fitted which has solved that - this took many pill changes to work out!

2 - IBS tablets (Colofac) - no effect

3 - mild  anti-depressant - apparently this can help with IBS, with me it just made me more tired so that did not last

4 - Colon hydrotherapy - these sessions really help if you can afford them. They help wash out the old toxins, especially if you are constipated

5 - Senna - I took senna for months - the doctor will tell you this is ok to do but actually senna dehydrates and stresses the bowel. If you are taking this, you need to stop. The best alternative I have found which really works is provided by my colonic centre. The tablets are called OxySense and you can get them from Ultimate Balance, Theale, Berkshire, UK - online ordering available. These guys have been the most help so far in my journey

The next step for me is the strict diet for the next 6 months. My diet will be gluten free as well as the usual as I think I may have developed an intolerance - this can happen with candida but you should be able to reintroduce the foods when you get well. I have Erica White's anti candida cookbook to assist.

Honestly, if you have these symptoms you probably have candida - the doctor will tell you intolerances and candida are "on the edge of medicine" and not real. There would not be so many books on this if this were the case! I will keep you posted on how my diet goes - starting Tuesday. Anyone want to join me?

I have been having many of the same problems as well and jsut got ANOTHER blood test back today that was normal. I feel like i have had nearly every test possible run and so far everything has come back normal. however i know that being so bloated i look 6 months pregnant (which im not), having horrible gas, having extreme discomfort in my lower stomache, not having a bowel movement for a couple weeks at a time even though im drinking miralax everyday, going without having a period for long stretches of time(once around 7 or 8 months, i lost count) are not normal things. i had one doctor say that it could be ibs but said there was no test to see if it actually is and offered no medication or anything, just basically said deal with it. unfortunatly that is jsut not good enough for me. some times i cant even go somewhere b/c of how uncomfortable i am. if anyone has any answers please share! im desperate! this has been going on for a couple years now. i am a healthy eater and i exercise 5 days a week. i also take probiotic everyday. everything should be working right
