im 7 months pregnant and have gone to a ciro a few times now for pains.
It really helped and i deffinatly looked into it first. i would not do it if it was going to hurt my baby.
Your doctor doesn't know what he or she is talking about.
Thank you so much for this recommendation. I am only 16 weeks pregnant but have been having severe hip and lower back pain for the last two weeks. I bought a maternity pillow but that did little to help. Yesterday the pain got so bad that I had trouble walking during the day. Whilst researching whether or not to buy a memory foam mattress topper (which I fear would not be deep enough to give real relief) I stumbled across your post and put my air mattress to work straight away. I had the best night of sleep last night and woke up without any pain whatsoever. It is a little tricky to get back onto the air mattress after toilet breaks in the middle of the night (my air mattress is on top of my normal mattress so that I can still share a duvet with my husband), but the minor inconvenience is worth it. I hope that anyone else trying desperately to find a solution to pregnancy hip and lower back pain gets this kind of relief as quickly as I did! It is at least worth a try before spending a lot of money on toppers which may only provide minimal relief. Good luck to everyone!
hi, I also have the same problem from starting of my pregnancy.I had taken ayurvedic treatment, also tried pillows but no use.
Now I am trying oil massage that is very helpful, now I am getting more relief.
Just passing along what has totally worked for me. I am 27 and this is my 3rd pregnancy. I have issues with 3 disks in my lower back which made me nervous for this pregnancy. But it turned out it wasn’t my back that ended up being the issue! I was fine until the start of the last trimester when my body started loosening up for the delivery so to speak lol. I couldn’t sleep…my hips are so loose they are causing me to be in a lot of pain (walking laying down sitting all very painful) …so bad that I would wake up crying at night when I would try to roll over with sharp burning and shooting pain in my pelvic and hip area.. and forget about a quick run to the b-room at 3 am it felt like I needed a walker when id finally manage to get out of bed and id have to admit I didn’t quite make it a few times it took me 5 minutes to make it to the b-room in my bedroom... which added to the torment. After a partial mental break down from lack of sleep running with a 6 and 7 year olds activities and nothing working as far as any relief I was starting to think there was no hope…. my o.b. was right there was nothing I could do…not Tylenol extra strength, therapy at my chiropractor, heating pads, warm Epson salt baths, or rub dows with bengay from my boyfriend etc. until I found a post on here about an air mattress. IT WORKS!!!!!!!! I purchased a full sized double thick (the thickness is equivalent to a normal mattress and box spring) I inflated it to about ¾ of the way full and positioned myself in the middle with my body pillow and slept like a baby!!! It totally cradles your body’s curves and your hips and belly. Didn’t even have to switch sides through the night!! It’s has saved my sanity for myself my kids and my boyfriend and has helped so much that I swear by it for any other woman having this same issue and the relief from the hip pain lasts through the day too!!! Hope this helps someone else out!
