Stomach does not empty properly would be by guess. I have a similar problem the doctor prescribed Reglan and it helped me. I also take probiotics daily eating yogurt helps digestive enzymes keep balance in colon. Your colon is a large hollow muscle that contracts and expands to move food through your body if it is slowing it does not move things though as it should. There are medications to increase movement to aide in digestion. Talk to a gastroenterologist that specializes in digest disease and problems associated with the colon. And do have a colonoscopy it is a simple procedure, I have had several. The worst part is the colon cleanse before the procedure which involves laxatives, rest is easy, because they sedate you, no discomfort at all.

I have had the same problems and I had surgery due to my diverticulitis. Have you heard anything of how these are related?

Same here only I am 6 months preg only after eating. I am so fustrated. I think it is a good idea to research the chemicals they are using to process the food we buy and eat. I think there is something in the foods these days that has a serious chemical(s) we all are overlooking and or have not found to even research yet.

This sounds exactly like my partner's problems. She has the endoscopy/colonoscopy scheduled. Thank you for you help and input.

I have chronic pancreatitis and your symptoms are just like mine.   Expect no help from doctors.   They love to run every test there is and then shrug their shoulders and say 'Maybe it's stress'.   This will be after they have suggested you have a problem with alcohol abuse (if you are like me, you don't).  Best you can do is eat very little at a time  but eat every 2-3 hours, mostly things which are soft and easy to digest.     Stay away from the 'shruggers' as much as possible.

Hi! I have the exact same thing, I have had fibromyalgia for the past 8 yrs, ibs for 4 yrs, test after test, now I have such bad pms, I have one good week a month, I am only 38 and this I'd getting unbearable!! I was told to go off my time release pain meds because they constipate so I did, went on align, cut out wheat, nothing is helping, now I always have gas in my stomach and the past couple of days started bloating out about 15 min after I eat, I look six months pregnant! I am thinking of going off meat! My body pain is sooo bad lately and I am going to see a gyno about my pms, maybe causing all these issues, maybe need a hysterectomy! I don't know what to do anymore this is no way to live! I waitress part time, it's hard enough to do with fibromyalgia now I have to deal with all this!

Sounds like Celiac disease or just intolerance to gluten

You probably have SIBO. Small intestine bacterial overgrowth. It can be tested at your gi docs office with a breath test and treated with xifaxan, an antibiotic.

my wife has same problem, has seen doctors nothing found but gallstone she takes peppermint for IBS but nothing helps. I think it is her gall bladder because the doctors can't find anything. She has been hospitalized twice with this and they still don't know , I have researched this and all I can come up with is her gallbladder needs removed, but she is not a good candiate for sergery is what the doctors tell her.

Sorry to hear all your concerns. It must be difficult to have these condition. Swelling of tummy after eating is a sign of ulcer and IBS. You may try blood type diet.

My dear friends I to have all these problems and have had them for 5 years now and nothing seems to help. I have come to believe that we have either all been poisoned by our food with gmo's that have done damage to our stomachs and intestines or we have a disease that has not been discovered yet. What I do know is that from reading countless blogs and talking with family friends and people I meet is that this problem is quickly becoming an epidemic except I don't think it's spread from person to person. I have decided to stop eating all together and I have gone on the following diet. I have 3 Ensure drinks per day morning noon and evening and I drink two bottles of Gatoraid 1 mid morning and 1 late evening around 8pm. I also try to drink 2 bottles of bottles water a day in between these other drinks. I know it sounds like a lot of liquid but it's not to bad and besides you have to stay hydrated or you will become very ill and you don't want that on top of everything else. Now after one week what I noticed is the bad pains are gone but that may be because there is no food left in my body , the bloating and other issues are the same so far but i' m very happy that the bad pains have stopped and I know you will be also if you decided to try this as well. Now at the end of 2 weeks I 'm going to start taking 2 tablespoons of apple vinegar in 8 oz. glass of water every morning 3 times a week. Then on week 3 I' m going to start taking a probiotic that has at least 5 billion active cultures or higher ,along with that I will also start taking stomach enzymes as I really believe that they must be depleted. I know some will think this is a lot but I just can't keep going on like this anymore it's awful to say the least. As I said I have started already and this is the end of week one and I plan on doing this for at least 8 to 12 weeks to give this a good chance to work. I will come back in a few weeks to update the blog and let you know how things are going. Thanks and God Bless - DJ
