I have been having this same problem! I had horrible razor burn from using a dull razor and then it started to burn when the hair was growing back so I decided to use a new razor and shave... I ended up cutting open all of the previous razor bumps and have been in excruciating pain for 5 days. I have been trying Neosporin, face moisturizer, and now I am trying diaper rash cream. The cuts seem to be healing but I am still in horrible pain, any other ideas??
Does anyone know the name of a good solution sold in stores that worked for you?
Have not had the severe problems described by the OP, but have found that extra virgin coconut oil works well to soothe the area - also other mild anti-inflammatory herbal remedies, maybe consult a local holistic practitioner about some ideas on that one, as laws vary from state to state and needs from person to person.
Switch to a trimmer and just don't do it, but if you really *need* to shave completely clean then the suggestion to use a brand new blade is the best one, and of course be gentle and slow. If your hair has grown longer, trim first or at least don't be aggressive. It is easy to forget how delicate the skin is.
Argan oil and some other natural oils are also good for soothing after the fact. Maybe try an oral anti-inflammatory, whatever you would take for other aches and pains. Good luck.
Hope this helps xx
