I have few friends and they claim that they are always shaved down there. I am not. I mean, I am from time to time. When I ask them about that they say that it has something to do with the pressure on the saddle and excessive sweating. What this has to do with anything? I honestly can’t imagine why it would be of any importance. However I am going to do the Brazilian waxing just in case. What do you think? Shaved or not for cycling?

To be honest I can’t think of any reason why are they doing it. Of course that it has no importance for your cycling. I don’t do the Brazilian waxing and have never had any problems with excessive sweat or something like that. Once you finish the race you will go home and take shower. So everything is taken care of. Shaved or not; it doesn’t have any influence on your speed or comfort. The reason your friends shave on a regular basis may be their boyfriends or husbands. Some men prefer things like that. So, if you don’t want to shave down there, don’t do it. I can guarantee that you will keep your speed and be able to ride long distances regardless of any hair there.

I think that's an individual choice and honestly, I don't think it's important for cycling.

Morpheus is right. It's a matter of individual choice, but I think it is not important for cycling technique.
