Well I have been on mannatech products for over 2 years & boy what an amazing difference in my life! I am epileptic and have not had a fit since starting these products! My mental abilities have improved to such an extent! I am sharper than I ever have been! It is not a drug it is just food that has been removed from our diet! I have saved 2 dogs lives so you can not tell me that it is a placebo effect, animals don;t know what you are giving them!
Pure pyramid scheme placebo junk - Mannatech themselves even admit it is nothing more than sugar pills. Should you be pumping a diabetic full of sugar? I think not.
I was recently suckered into a "business meeting" that turned out to be a mannatech presentation evening. Worst time ever.
Hardly anything said about the product besides that it cures cancer and many other illnesses, and some c##p about their high tech manufacturing plant in Texas ( yes texas, the american state whose anti-pyramid scheme and MLM laws are the most relaxed in the US - surprise surprise )
The main emphasis on the evening was on the marketing structure and HOW MUCH MONEY I could make in a very short space of time. The people who only purchase the products ( and don't sign up to sell ) are referred to disdainfully as " users ".
The idea is to sign up other dealers at $400 for a starter pack. They in turn must sign up others, and so on and so forth - you get the idea. Yet I keep getting told its not a pyrimad scheme - then get shown how as it filters down the "legs", you get more and more money as those below you sign up others - with plenty of signing bonuses being flung around.
There is the usual get rich quick mentality coupled with a feverish cult type of enthusiasm, as has been found in the past with friends involved in Amway and others types of MLM. The religious connection kept coming up - and as I Christian I was actually offended that such outlandish claims and lies were being pushed under the guise of God. Bear in mind what God did in the Marketplace to those who abused his name in such a fashion.
After much research, I can conclude that:
1) None of the claims of Mannatech have any scientific backing - Mannatech even refuses to do impartial double blind studies to prove their original claims. Why not????? Do the studies and prove your ridiculous claims if you have nothing to hide.
2) Mannatech themselves are trying to get the reps/dealers ( sorry, Platinum Level Presidents, laughable lofty titles ) to stop bandying about the cancer and disease curing claims as they are getting in much trouble for it.. But they won't stop, as I experienced last week at the meeting, because it will help them grow their "leg" of suckers.
3) Most people"curing" themselves of anything have simultaneously adopted better diets and lifestyles ( as you do when being told you are dying and are desperate ). These alone would vastly improve cancer symptoms, as have several friends and my own mother who was cured of lymphatic and bone marrow cancer, using good diet and her chemo. Lets get a large group of people with cancer to keep on eating the same c##p they always were and throw in some Mcdonalds a few times per week, include some Mannatech Ambrotose ( sugar pills ) and see how well they fare?? Now that would make an interesting study. My own asthma and foggy-head syndrome are largely kept under control by lessening carbs and avoiding sugars - and exercising. Cutting out sugar and lowering, not eliminating, carbs has gotten my brother off his depression medication. Why spend thousands of dollars on overpriced garbage when good food is at your fingertips ( but ahh, according to the guy hosting the meeting, our fruit and veg is COMPLETELY lacking in vitamins and nutrients. This guy runs a fast food establishment as his day job, so I better take him seriously on good nutrition. )
4) This is pure pyramid scheme, multi level marketing, join the cult, loose friends and clients BS. Do I believe that I could be earning $50000 per month within 3 years selling fake health products? what do you think?
I kept getting told at the meeting that this is passive income generation and being asked questions like, " Do you feel like you are missing out on the your childrens growing years?" " Wouldn't you like to retire in 5 years and watch your kids grow up and take several overseas vacations per year with your family?" I work hard for my family and dont agree with this type of tactic - the very idea that if I sucker enough other people ( around 600-1000 ) to join this scheme then I would barely have to work hard and could be a more involved parent is enough to make my stomach churn. Shame on this sick company and the people prepared to get involved in it and sucker others for their own personal enrichment. Shame on them for laying a guilt trip tactic about how I might be neglecting my kids because I dont earn the kind of money I could selling Mannatech ( sorry, selling starter kits to other people )
5) They are doing some charitable work, ok fair enough. Based on the meeting I attended, it seems that their charitable work extends to delivering into poor areas tubs of their product based on certain sales targets being reached. Ok, so, presumably, every now and then a Jeep rolls into a village in Africa and drops off some Ambrotose to some starving malnourished people. This is pathetic, and unsustainable as far as I am concerned, and merely a cheap marketing ploy to make you feel gooey inside when a part of you knows this is wrong.
My charitable efforts extend to researching and supporting proper, sound and established charities with known results, ie, Mercy Ships floating hospital, where actual good work is being done, and sustainable projects managed to continue forever. Not just a target over the next couple of years to deliver 5 000 000 tubs of sugar pills to the middle of nowhere. Get a life. And please dont tell me that they are doing some good, so its ok. The Bible, which Mannatech loves referencing, also says that the Devil will come clothed as an Angel of Light.
While not the Devil, Mannatech certainly have his support in conning people and making millions for the guys at the top of the chain.
If I wanted to get involved in this type of scheme, I will just write an old fashioned pyramid chain letter with $20 in it and send it out and see what happens. At least I will have only lost $20 and not have to arrange meetings like the one I attended.
Good health and long life does not come in a bottle of pills being pushed by people whose goal it is to retire in 5 years. Eat healthy, excercise, drink lots of water ( or you could try Mannatechs new patented water, yes thats right, super water ) and lay off the sugar ( ie, Ambrotose ) - you should be fine.
If I had the money, I could add an additive and patent my own urine if I wanted to. And here in South Africa one of our Rugby teams is also using this stuff - but wait, one of the upper level guys is an ex rugby player with big connections. Go figure. Not one of Mannatechs products have ever undergone impartial, outside double blind studies to prove any of their amazing claims.
My partner has MS and has been taking Mannatech products for 8 months. He was initially told allow 3 months, then 6 and now a year or two to see any positive affects. It is heartbreaking to watch as it seems like brainwashing to an extent. I had hopes as well as him that this stuff would help if not cure but it has done the opposite. His family and I can see it but he cant and it is so upsetting. The worst 'new symptom' is the violence and aggression which started a month after taking this stuff. Its hard to watch someone you love acting this way, maybe coincidence and this would have happened anyway but how can you be sure, I have read about people having mental breakdowns after taking this product and this has heightened my concerns. The company have a hard sell approach and email literature all the time but when i saw an article about 'curing cancer' they sent him any faith I had in this product being a positve effect disppeared. Its up to the individual at the end of the day and can only make a comment on my own experiences. Good luck.
Good on you. I too have had excellent results with a skin condition which traditional medicine could only treat with cortisone. Based on 4 years of use I am just fine with manna tech thank you
My son has diabtis and his blood sugar was in the 800 once and he was not in a omma. He has registered high and has never been in a coma, so it's possible to be high without being in a coma. However, your organs will not get the nutrition it needs at those levels and thus may have other health problems, like eyes, kidneys, heart problems. But I bet Ambrotese can help with that if not too late. I'm a new user so I' m sure about that but if it does what it says it could. We will see.
you can check the product and see the review of product.
This is a pretty lofty statement without any information or factual data to support it. Accusations are hearsay until proven. What is the factual data that was given to support the accusations? and was there research done on the accusations that proved they were true? Interesting to post information but no relevant information. I have been taking Mannatech for years and support it 100%.
