Finally found some people, who has same problem as me. I am 18 years old and it has been 4 years since I am suffering from recurring sore throat. I never had mono or any other diseases. I have visited many hospitals, clinics, ENT specialists.
First I was given with amoxicilin capsules, it seemed to work. But it was not solution. I tried various other antibiotics and tablets, but I am still with it. I went through endoscopy. Doctors said that everything was normal. It reoccurs in every 3/4 weeks and I also experience mood swings when having that sore throat. I hope one day we all wil get over it. BEST OF LUCK GUYS!!

You need to change your diet asap the tonsil aren't infection its inflammation from something you're eating . its not food allergy its and intolerance to foods. They can only diagnose you if they shove a camera down your throat after you eat dairy, wheats, gluten flour ,rye. So its impossible to diagnose this I over came it . it will take a while

I've always had frequent sore throats (4-6 a year for as long as I can remember), but more recently (at age 35), they seem to have increased in frequency to every month. I started logging dates to confirm this, and over the past 12 months, 14 recorded sore throats, duration between 3-5 days.

I avoid antibiotics since it can't be healthy to take them all the time, but sometimes I will give in, and more than half the time they do seem to clear up the throat within 24 hours. I eat a healthy diet, lots of vegetables, heavy workout 2-3 times a week, sleep 8-9 hours daily, but have always had troubles with random episodes of fatigue despite getting enough sleep. Nothing I've tried seems to work, so for now I'm kind of resigned to it.

The only time I got temporary reprieve, was working for a stint in Serbia for 6 months. I had bad allergies there (frequent sneezing/runny nose), yet no sore throat! Usually allergies and sore throat go hand in hand for me. It was the longest period I think I've gone without having a sore throat. I don't know if it was something in the environment there, or the fact I hardly ever went out during that time (which would make it hard to catch something from someone else). So it could have been as simple as greatly reduced contact/interactions with others, resulting in less exposure to bacteria/viruses. I was drinking plenty of coffee during that period, so doesn't appear to be related to caffeine intake.

My 17 year old daughter got mono in March. She came down with strep in August, then again in October and just today (November) was diagnosed AGAIN with strep.

She is a very healthy, active (3-sport) athlete. It is very abnormal that she is even sick once a year, let alone getting strep throat 3 times in 4 months. Of course the doctors are of no help and they just want to keep prescribing antibiotics.

There is a website that has been EXTREMELY helpful to our family. It provides tons of information and naturopathic suggestions for many/most health conditions. Earth Clinic. It is my go-to anytime we have an illness/ailment. I cannot recommend this highly enough.

Epstein bar virus or MONO really does a number on your body. Here are some suggestions for remedy. Basically finding ways to support your immune system.

REMEDIES for Epstein Barr Virus
1. Essiac Tea
Essiac tea is a combination of four herbs. It was originally created as an anti-cancer tea, but it has also been found helpful for chronic diseases like the Epstein Barr Virus.

2. Astragalus Root
Astragalus root is a food source in some countries. This mild tasting herb is not mild when it comes to effectiveness however. Astragalus root works as an antiviral and immune tonic. It can be taken in capsule form or in a tincture. The dried root can be added to soups and even oatmeal.

3. Olive Leave Extract
Olive plants produce foods that are consumed daily. Additionally, the leaves have antiviral and immune boosting properties. Olive leaf extract can help support the immune system and fight the virus.

4. Colloidal Silver
Colloidal silver is an easy-to-take natural antiviral. For chronic infections, diy colloidal silver is a great option, after the initial investment of a home generator.

5. Vitamin C
Vitamin C supports the immune system and has been found to be helpful in reducing symptoms of chronic Epstein Barr Virus.

6. Coconut Oil
Coconut oil is high in lauric acid, which the body converts to monolaurin. Monolaurin can kill lipid coated viruses. For viruses, as much as 3 tablespoons of coconut oil are used daily. However, this may be too much for the digestion of some. It may be best to begin with a teaspoon three times a day and work up to a tablespoon three times a day, if the smaller amounts do not cause any side effects.

When using coconut oil as a medicine, be sure to use unprocessed coconut oil that smells like coconut oil for best results.

7. Monolaurin
Not everyone is fond of using coconut oil, especially in the quantities needed to kill viruses. A monolaurin supplement can provide similar antiviral benefits as an alternative to coconut oil.

Right now my focus is on helping to find ways to support my daughter's immune system. I've just ordered Monolaurin as well as Astragalus Root for her to start taking. I'm hoping we'll see some improvement in her overall health.

Good luck to all!
