I am the same age as you and this suddenly came on a couple of days ago. Very sore nipples . I'm on a lot of medication for a heart defect , so don't know if that is the cause, don't really want to bother my doctor if it's normal. Not had a period for 3 years.
Omg,,,I laughed when I read your posting, only because I am pre menopausal and experience the same systems, sore nipples and chest boobs for three weeks out of the month, I haven't found any answers and my geno says deal with it, it's part of being 50, so right now tequila is my best friend, I wish there was an answer
I am, too, am experiencing the same symptoms. I am 52, never taken HRT. I also was thinking that it may be caused by foods i had recently eaten. We mostly eat organic, Gmo free but we had a regular store bought steak 2 days ago. I was wondering if it is the added hormones in the meat!
I am 65, post menopausal, ovaries removed 8 years ago, no HRT ever. I had atypical ductal hyperplasia in left breast ten years ago. Developed inverted nipples, no discharge. Three weeks ago left nipple suddenly very painful to touch or contact with everything. Clear Mammogram, clear ultrasound but, now, I've been referred for MRI due to a high risk assessment tool that was applied to my ultrasound/mammogram. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this sudden, inexplicable problem? I have pain just sitting, now.

Looking at you women, I am glad to know it's more common than I thought. I am 56 and postmenopausal. Erect tener nipples have plagued me for the past week. UGH!
Hello, l suffered this when severely when I first became pregnant (over 20 years ago) and I am just suffering again at 62 years of age. My daughter (a scientist) has told me that the chickens today are fed with oestrogen. I had chicken for the first time in ages before this started. So maybe it is to do with hormones. It is painful and uncomfortable and the worst thought is being on a trampoline. Hopefully it will go away within a couple of days. I cant say for sure but it does seem a bit of a coincidence in my case.
