Hi. I’m 22 years old. Generally I’m in really god health but over the last week my left testicle has been feeling somewhat sore. I tried to locate where the pain comes from and it seems to be coming directly from the top side of my testicle. What this could be – I don’t have any other symptoms like itching or painful pee… Is there anybody here who experienced similar problems?? Should I visit a GP?? Could this be serious??

I strongly advise you not to mess around because pain in the testicle sure needs checking out by a doctor. It is true that most such pains are harmless but there are some really serious diseases that have same symptom so you should se your doc asap.

Anytime you have pain in this area you should take it very seriously. Although it could be nothing, it could be more than just pain. I would make an appointment with your doc and probably ask for an ultrsound if your not told by your doc first to do so.

I wish you the best of luck :-)

Over te past couple of years i have relized that my left testicle hangs alot lower than my right. It seems like its detached or something. There is no pain in my testicles but it seriosley worrys me because i dont know what is wrong.. The cord that the testicle hangs from feels like it has been cut from the holding point and the cord has fallen down in my scrotum with the testicle.. any help!!

Run, do not walk, to your nearest emergency room.

They may be able to save your testicle, if you seriously think it has been severed.

At the very least, make an appointment to see your doctor or a urologist tomorrow. Insist on being seen.

I think it might be that you are doing a lot of physical movement and may have pulled something. But if you think you have been physically active prior to the problem, then there is nothing to be worried about and take a break from doing what you were doing for a while (a few weeks). And if its work related, then you might want to tell your supervisor what has happened and if theres any light duties you can do instead of heavier work. I know this because this happened to me several months ago lifting heavy objects at work. I went to the doctor to see why i felt sore/discomfort in my left testicle. They checked me for cancer or a possible hernia. And i was ok from both. And at the time my testicle had elongated and looked a little larger than the right and hung lower. He said thats normal sometimes. But if it kept growing unusually to go back and see him. So I waited and everything seemed better. I didnt lift too much and within a few weeks i had forgotten that i was even having problems. But recently, i have been working a little too hard again and those symptoms returned. So im hoping it might be the same thing except only this time its on the top front side. So im assuming its the same thing but since its sort of different from the last i am a little worried again. But im being carefully optimistic until i go see the doctor again. Good Luck!!
