hi there i have been having weird senstation i think in my lung it's up high before my collar bone.. what could be going on? it feels like a heart beat but, it wouldn't be that way up there..help
So I was googling and found this thread as i am having these "spasms" right now. I have been recently diagnosed with MVP, and have just started on a beta blocker, low dose. The day I started the meds I got this weird vibrating feeling above my left breast once. Every day it seems to become more regular, up until til it has always been in the same place more of less. Now it is also happening below my right breast. Short vibrating blasts. No pain but it is totally off putting and worrying. My cardio is on holidays so havent been able to ask him about it. I was just wondering has anyone from the earlier postings got any update on this or respite. I have had episodes of fast heart beats, palpiations, chest pain and now this. All in the most 2 months! The MVP was discovered after 2 chest xrays, 2 ecgs, blood tests and an echocardiagram. Other then that nothing is wrong with me The fact that it is getting more prevalent is really concerning me...
So magnesium might be the answer (from reading last few posts)?
Are you feeling any better?
Thank you so much for telling us your story i sometimes feel the same thing in my chest and it really helped me
Well described thank you. Similiar fluttering feeling for myself, feel need to cough at the time, however it occurs only when starting exercise. Good all day, then get on the treadmill and within a minute I get the feeling and it lasts a few minutes and then I don't notice it anymore.
I seem to have same symptoms. I have had flu tters on and off for many years and ignored them. However 2weeks ago I had a really bad number of flutters causing me to black out whilst driving. Thankfully it ended safely and uvwas only out for a shirt time. This was followed by nausea and severe headache.
Next day a doctor found nothing wrong. Blood test, ECG and oxygen all normal.
I see a cardiologist this week.
I have had a number of not so serious flutters since but my pulse seems fine.
I wonder if I have something similar.

ALL OF YOU HAVE YOUR POTASSIUM CHECKED OR JUST TAKE AN OTC SUPPLEMENT AND SEE IF YOUR SYMPTOMS STOP. GOOD LUCK! HOPE IT WORKS FOR YOU. GOOGLE LOW POTASSIUM SYMPTOMS TO SEE IF YOU HAVE OTHER SIGNS
Thanks you so much ! magnesium is the answer than I need to take.
Big help! Thank you very much!
That makes a lot of sence. Can you elaborate more on it and some ways of helpig the healing? I did notice tums helps it for a brief moment
And my stomach does feel odd which might be the acid

Hello,
I was surfing online articles for what could be occurring to me and i stumbled upon your write up that indicates you have had exactly the symptom of an unknown diagnosis, i mean the strange movement at the sternum.
I'm an ulcer patient and circumstances has not made me keep up with meals when hungry to suppress it, so i thought maybe that could be the cause but i feel no pain just the suckling feeling at the middle of the chest.
I would like to know if you found the causes and treatments for it.
I'm glad i'm not alone in this. Hope to read from you soon.
Thanks.

hi everyone
been reading a following this fourm for awhile as it is happening to me often recently. expecially when i lie down to rest / sleep for the night.
my blood work has come back perfectly fine on every single issue
i am going to get a echo done, stress test and wear a monitor but i dont think its gonna change things.
i did ask the fiance last night to lay on my chest and listen to it when it happens.
she said my heart was very normal and when i raised my finger when it happne she said .5 sec before that she hears something but it lower and closer to the stomach. but my feeling is at the same place you all are discibing and that feeling of pressure of something moving from right to left. she says it sounds like something is spitting liquid out. like how we squeeze our shampoo bottle to get the liquid out. similer reaction.
i will bring this up to my doctor.
also last ngiht i noticed if i lay on my left side to sleep it reduced alot. but right side and on my back it happen often. most was on my right side.
plesase keep sharing as u guys find more!!
i am also on magneseum

Hi everyone,
This post is about to be long and detailed but I have been experiencing these spasms and am not sure what it is.
I am a 27 year old female and have suffered from sometimes debilitating anxiety since I was a freshmen in high school. these usually come In spells and I have not had an anxiety attack for a few years before these spasms started. I was also diagnosed very young with IBS and GERD. I’ve battled with weight (but I’ve never been anything more than slightly overweight) and for the past year and a half I’ve been working out consistently and watching what I eat more. I take multivitamins daily but I don’t take any other medications regularly.
I started feelimg these flutters in my early twenties but they were no where near the intensity or frequency I have started feeling them. They were once every several months. Also, my mom has a diagnosed benign atrial flutter that she takes beta blockers for. So I thought it could be related.
Fast forward a few years and my anxiety has been soooo much better. I feel like as I’ve gotten older my IBS is almost non-existent. However, I constantly clear my throat and have a little bit of mucous/post nasal drip. Knowing these are symptoms of silent reflux I made an appointment with the GI doctor. Since being diagnosed with GERD I worry about Barret’s Esophagus and other complications.
The GI doctor schedule me for an upper endoscopy and I had this procedure with biopsies about a month ago. That week I noticed these spasms. Like the ones I have experienced before but more intense and about every five minutes. They don’t seem to speed up my heart rate and my heart doesn’t seem to be beating irregularly. I left a message for the GI doctor and he seems to think it’s unrelated to the procedure. I have a follow up appointment in a couple of days and I am going to talk to him more about this.
I ended up go to the hospital because I had a full blown panic attack and almost passed out. My heart was racing and my chest hurt so I drove straight to the hospital. Blood work came back fine and of course during the EKG no spasms. That came back normal. After I calmed down blood pressure and heart rate were good. They referred me to a cardiologist just in case and I made an appointment. I plan to go just to make sure.
I went a spoke to my family doctor. I want to add I have been under an immense amount of stress. I work a full-time job that is very stressful and I am currently getting a Master’s in Chemical Engineering as well. I am always in the run and in a hurry and have been living this way for the past two years. My family doctor knows this and he attributes it to too much caffeine and too much stress. I was very apprehensive about this sense I told him they are like no stress symptoms I have ever experienced and that’s why I was so worried. But I do know stress symptoms can manifest in many different forms. Unfortunately, some of these forms seem to coincide with other problems as well. I am supposed to start taking Paxil but have not yet. I quit caffeine cold turkey, which relieved the flutters for only a few days and now they are back the same as before.
The flutters I have feel like a butterfly/bubbles/ballooning feeling. I feel it in my throat which makes me feel I might need to breath in. I don’t really feel the urge to cough. I have a tightness in the center of my chest in the sternum area. Sometimes I do feel a little pain but I’m not sure if that’s because I’m so worried about it or not. I saw an earlier post where someone commented about allergies and the relation. I have a few allergies. I have a severe mold allergy which I have been told dairy will trigger (may try cutting out dairy if the doctors have nothing else for me). I used to break out in hives all over my back that would itch horribly and would get better a little when I took an allergy pill (Zyrtec). I haven’t had those symptoms in almost a year but that I think was related to some type of food allergen or environmental allergen.
I am hoping it is nothing serious. I don’t know if this is stress related, GI related and triggered from my procedure, or heart related. I have an appointment with my GI this week and the Cardio next week. I will update when I get some results back. I wanted to see the Cardio doctor before I started the Paxil. So I will comment how the Paxil affects the flutters as well.
