If you heat the paperclip on the stove, was it not then too hot to pick up with your hands?

Hello everyone. I have the same thing happening to me. I asked my dermatologist about it and he said let me see them. Then he started lasering them which kinda hurt and I said OK we got enough. He is basically cauterizing them. The results were great. So I figured I was gonna get some more at home since I have been reading this. I used a numbing agent 4% lidocaine for 45 min, and have a nice solder gun with a real fine point. Touched them real quick with the tip, didn't feel a thing. A reasonable solution to this annoying problem.

I tried the Wartner freeze kit for verruca removal and now I'm very worried. I applied on a few blisters, skin turned white for a few seconds and now I have very visible red marks while blisters are still there. Is this normal ? I applied it two days ago. Wish I'd nevere tried....

Putting duct tape on it seems to work.  I did not fancy trying a paperclip on the end of a soldering iron or an expensive laser blast.  I read that someone tried athletes foot cream.  I went to buy some but there were so many different types.  I went for a budget one but when I searched it said that a dermatologist would not use it anywhere because it can thin the skin.  For info - Duct tape can also be used on other skin issues, such as warts/moles on your body.  If you have mole then cold pressed castor oil mixed in a paste with baking soda can remove a mole.  I had one on my shoulder, gone with no scarring.  A woman at work paid £500 to have hers removed by a surgeon.

I have Angiokeratoma and I know what caused it.  Think about it: blood pressure in the capillaries, or too much blood pressure.  These are caused over a period of years by having full, hard, long-lasting, satisfying erections.  That's when blood pressure in the skin of the genitalia is at its highest.  If you enhance your erections by using a c-ring, c-strap, Viagra, or other erection-hardening device or prescription, then, over time, you may develop Angiokeratoma.  While the condition is not unusual in men as they age, it is poorly studied and information about it is even more poorly disseminated.  Thanks to everyone who has shared their experience here!

Hi there I'm a 22 year old male and have these angiokeratomas on my testicles and on the enis shaft. My only concern that lies with the soldering method is can it be used on angiokeratomas which are flat and lie flush on the skin. I don't want to put it on the skin and cause another problem down there.

Any advice snd help will be greatly appreciated as this is really upsetting me now. Just want it to go away so I can get on with my life as it's constantly on my mind.

I just noticed these on my scrotum within the last few months. Surprisingly it didn't freak me out and a search revealed what they are (angiokeratoma). I assume they are the result of me pinching the skin of my scrotum when it gets itchy (I have sensitivities and skin itch is the usual symptom). Ever since I was a teenager (I'm in my 40s now) I've always pinched my scrotum skin to alleviate an itch lol. Anyway, I think they are hideous so I'm happy to run across this discussion and will likely try the soldering iron trick. I'll report back with my results.

So I'm replying to my own comment. I just tried the paperclip-on-the-stove-burner trick, heatee up quickly and I used a bit of duct tape as a heat resistant handle. I picked two spots and circled thrm with pen so I can track which ones I've treated. I pressed the tip of the heated paperclip on each spot twice. It stung, but only momentarily. No popping noise and no noticeable difference. Possibly it wasn't hot enough. I was chicken and perhaps waited too long for the clip to cool off. I'll see what happens to those spots I treated. (I'm not concerned about infection, the paperclip is stainless steel, the heat would have killed any bacteria that in all likelihood cannot attach to stainless steel, and I didn't break any skin. Interested to see results.

I am replying to my own post again to share my progress. I did the heated paperclip on the spots thing for about 5 days over the past 2 weeks, once a day. Most of the spots have shrunk and faded about 80-90%.Three or four large ones are about 30% smaller but still noticeable, but dont stick out so much anymore. I never got used to burning myself, I'm always afraid of burning right through all layers of skin, so I barely touch the spots with the heated paperclip for a split second. Pretty good results though.

Hey I have the same problem, did you have yours resolved by applying coconut oil. Thanks

yes, i am 28 and have a variable number from 5 to 30 of them. you are not alone :) i have found things like stress, and excessive sitting might have an impact on their appearance. i am generally fit, 6'2", 145 lbs. and run a mile in under 6 minutes. but with an excessive work schedule of 11 hour days at a computer, lack of sleep and personal life stress factors, they were at an all time high. i wish i had advice for you on how to reduce their appearance, i have only minimal success with things like warm water in the shower and circulation to reduc their appearance. it is a blood vessel thing, so any circulation stim helps, just be careful where you do this at lol. best of luck!

I wanted to share my experience since I found this thread so helpful. I decided to burn the suckers off.

I used a Bovie High Temperature Cautery Fine Tip (AA01) bought from eBay and Numb Master 5% Topical Anesthetic Lidocaine Cream.

Shave the area you plan to treat. You will smell burning skin, but you don't want to add burning hair to that. Hair will really get in the way, anyway.

After appyling the lidocaine cream, I waited 20 minutes for it to take effect. I would recommend touching the unheated tip to a blister to get comfortable with your aim. Familiarize yourself with the instrument. I pressed the button on the cauterizer until it turned red hot, then released it (this also helps burn away any flesh or blood that sticks to the tip). Then I carefully touched the cauterizer tip to the blister. Larger blisters will most likely bleed...I attempted to stop the bleeding by repeatedly heating the tip and cauterizing the skin. This did not work.

After I was finished, I applied Neosporin ointment. It took me a very long time to be satisfied with the results, because larger blisters would bleed profusely and I would have to stop. I also did the treatment in sections and allowed myself to heal for several days between treatments. This really extended the duration.

I also had sort of a false start. Initially, I was only really burning the top layers of skin, and not really getting to the blister at all. I found the whole process really tricky; but it can be done. Be patient. Multiple treatments will be necessary. Confidence will increase with practice. Do not get so confident that you get careless. Also, since your skin will be numb it is easy to overdo it. Allow at least a week between treatments. I did not treat every blister every time.

Notice I still have a little more work to do!

I have been using othine skin bleach for a year now. It helps diminish the look of them but does not get rid of them. I have them on my labia and I feel like my life is over. A damaged woman

Thanks everyone for all the helpful information.  So last night I had a friend help me use a soldering iron to burn about 20 angiokeratomas I have.  Most were small, but a few were bigger.  It wasn't easy finding a friend willing to do this, let me tell you!  But I don't think I could have done it myself.  Too hard to hold my skin and hold a soldering iron at the same time.

So I bought a pencil soldering iron on Amazon for about $18.  It has a temperature control dial that goes up to 450 degrees celsius, which is like 800 degrees fahrenheit.  It came with five soldering tips, but the one that was already on the iron had a pretty small point already, so I went with that.  We let it preheat and burn off anything on it for about 10 minutes and then went to it.   We had it at maximum heat.I'm a hairy guy, so my friend had to try to part the hair to get at each spot on my scotum.  I jumped a little at the first one, not because it was painful really but because I didn't know what to expect.  Most of the small ones did exactly what others have described.  He touched the hot tip for less than a second and they popped and just seemed to disappear.  No bleeding.  And no pain afterwards at all.

One of the bigger ones (maybe 4-5mm?) did bleed a little, but then he used the iron again and stopped it.

Then there is one that bled on its own about a week ago.  It was still a little sore from popping then.  Maybe we should have waited to burn it.  Anyway, he did burn it, and it didn't pop open or anything.  And it's more sore today, but that is the only one out of all of them that hurt.  We'll try again next week.

The popping sound from the small ones is weird.  Plus there was a small I think from some of my hair that burned.  Not bad though.

I washed and dried myself thoroughly ahead of time, and afterwards I put some Neosporin cream on just to play it safe.  I'll do that again today and tomorrow.

So that's my experience.  Let me know if anyone has any questions.  But it seems like for $18 and being brave enough to let a friend near my balls with an 800 degree soldering iron, almost all of them look like they are totally gone, and I'm sure we can deal with the bigger ones next week.

Thanks guys!

Dano
