Yes, please let me know and advise about this kit or any other resolution to the problem. How do you find any doctor in the United State that treats this issue and has the equipment as part of their practice.

Arugh I keep forgetting my username/password here, i guess i'm a guest again.. anyhow.

Most dermatologist's office have lasers and such, some works some doesn't.  I had my "blood blisters" lasered off, but it always comes back after couple of months.  Plus they charge me $500. arugh.  So now I just do it with the dab of the hydrochloric on each spot, do the scrotum dance for a few mins and it's gone in a day or so.  This usually last for 2 to 3 months.  Some come back, others don't.  It's definetly cheaper than going to the dermatologist.  IMO alot of them dont' really know what is the best method and they do trial and error at your pocket's expense of course.   The Soldering method should work too, but it's more a mental thing. I only get like a 2or 3 on my scrotum now instead of 10 or 15 of them.

Oh does anyone ever get some on their shaft?  I've just noticed i have 1 very very small on my shaft which I tried using Hydrochloric acid and it didn't seem to work/burn.  SO i use the soldering it instead. It hurt for the first few touches and then skin turned white and it didn't hurt anymore.  I hope i'm not starting to get them on my shaft... with my friggin luck...is this really part of getting old?!

It's so cool to finally find some new information on angiokeratomas. I have had them since I was a teenager, now I'm 26, and never really knew what they were until recently after some research. However I do not have any on my scrotum, mine are all located on the penis towards the head. I am interested if the post before or anyone ese got results on their attempt on the penis? I would really like to try and remove them but these treatments are kind of intense. would the treatment be the same on the penis as the balls? Did anyone try the visine treatment with any luck?

I also have them on my penis. Mostly on the head of my penis. What horrible luck, i can relate to your pain brotha...anyways, about 6 months ago I used the soldering iron on a dozen or so. Some are completely gone, some came back and some didn't seem to change at all. The ones that went away, I noticed a 'pop' when I touched the soldering iron to it and it instantly changed color (as many other people have commented on). The ones that didn't go away, i didn't hear anything and it had very little change in appearance. I think it's related to how long you contact the spot and that is a fine line. It has to be very brief so you don't injure yourself, but too brief won't work either. 1/3 of a second works, but 1/4 of a second doesn't... something like that.... very fine line, at least in my experience... I haven't tried the visine treatment, although I might because several of my spots are way too small for me to hit with the soldering iron. Sounds a lot easier and safer too!

Painless and most effective solution = Soldering iron and Lidocaine cream / gel.  I used to have roughly 50+ of these things all over my scrotum, 1-5cm in diameter.  Use small paperclip wrapped around tip of soldering iron, approximately 1" sticking out from end to give you a very small point of contact and distance from the large and very hot iron itself.  Lidocaine can be found online, my local Walgreens only had benzocaine, but if you search amazon you'll find many creams with 5% lidocaine, the one I used is called Dr. Numb.  Apply this to entire area, wait about 10 minutes and you will be able to apply the iron with NO PAIN.  Amazing.  I was able to completely eradicate these spots and maybe every few months I'll have to do a touch-up but since it is painless it's no big deal and I actually look forward to the process of getting myself clean and healthy looking.

I'm so happy and thankful that I found this board and people suggesting the acid an soldering iron solutions so I wanted to post myself to give back and let everyone know about just how simple and painless this can be if done correctly.  THANK YOU EVERYONE!

Hi,

I have these spots too and while i have tried the soldering technique, it works well but it really scares me that im going to injure myself. I was just wondering what the possible cause of these might be ? Personally i am in my late 30s and fall into the overweight category of the BMI. I have rarely exercised in my life and eat poorly and drink too much. Now recently i have began to work out with heavy aerobic running and cycling a few times a week  and i have noticed a reduction in these spots. Im just wondering if there is any chance these spots are related to fitness in anyway ? be interesting to know if there are any super fit and BMI normal weight guys here that have the spots too ?

Rather than using a soldering iron why don't you use a proper cautery tool.

In my case it's because a soldering iron is something I already owned and a cauterizing tool is considered medical equipment and is therefore much more expensive. ;)

John, I was once overweight and not fit. About 6 or 7 years ago, I lost 80 pounds and got serious about doing exercise a few times a week. Nothing serious, but just some simply exercises at the gym and in-town bike riding. I was overweight when I started getting the spots, but they increased after I lost the weight. My Doctor looked at them once and told me no one has ever determined what causes them.

A cautery tool can be bought for $25 on ebay

Hi guys,

I've read thoroughly all your posts, I've even bought a soldering iron and alcohol solution, but to me there's still one big question : just how do you do it? I mean a lot of these angiokeratomas are in a quite difficult place to reach, specially at the bottom of the scrotum... And I really don't see myself holding a soldering iron with my right hand and a flashlight with the left hand, while holding a magnifying glass with my third hand. Seriously... :-)

I just noticed these red dots on my Scrotum about 2 weeks ago, I freaked out. After some research, I found this post and was so happy that there is a treatment. I bought a Pencil soldering Iron and tried it on one dot without the paperclip. My soldering iron has a very fine tip. I did hear a popping sound on contact. Basically, I touched the spot and released very fast, after the 3rd time, I heard a popping sound. I was reluctant to try another because the soldering tool was too hot. It is effective, but I will buy a low temp Cautery tool because it's probably safer and sanitary.

what about using liquid nitrogen like they do on warts?

I just used a solder I bought from Radio Shack: Electronic and Hobby 11-piece soldering kit. It has a curved fine point (stencil cutting point) that is convenient to use. But first and foremost, USE LIDOCAINE to numb your balls, people!! My god, how can you not do that first. I tried it without liodocaine, and I was screeching. Leave the lidocaine on for 30 min (wrap your balls in plastic wrap). Even with lidocaine (4%), I felt the pain. Make sure to disinfect the tip with alcohol (I ordered new tips so that I can use a fresh tip every time). Wipe off the lidocaine after 30 min, and rub on rubbing alcohol and tea tree oil. And then proceed. Another poster is correct: it's better to engage the angiokeratoma at an angle. Disinfect again with alcohol and tea tree oil afterwards. I also put bacitracin on and then put ice compress. I'm also going to apply butenafine hydrocholoride (Lotrimin Ultra) cream, the strongest anti-fungal cream you can buy without a prescription. I suspect it's a fungal infection because my angiokeratomas came on AFTER a correction circumcision operation I had. I never had it before. Coincidental?? The doctors won't admit to it. But I am going to apply it daily for 8 weeks to see how it goes. Good luck everybody. Remember: USE LIDOCAINE!! Don't be insane!! lol
