So after reading 11 pages of postings about bloat after gall bladder removal, here are the things that sound like they are working for people:

#1 - Digestive enzymes with EVERY meal to break down proteins, carbs, and fats (some people take it before their meal AND after their meal)
#2 - Probiotic acidophilus
#3 - Ox Bile Supplement (might already be in digestive enzyme supplement)
#4 - Milk Thistle (to remove toxins in liver)
#5 - Selenium (to remove toxins in liver)
#6 - D3 vitamin supplement (5000 IU)
#7 - Magnesium Chloride

Your pharmacy might have some of these items, -- or you can shop online. You can get a bottle of digestive enzymes for about $20 or so (free shipping, if you have Amazon Prime) and if you read the reviews, it will help you decide which brand to try. I am going to place an order today!! Good luck, everyone!

I had my gallbladder removed in January 2016 and I still have bloating and can't eat a lot of things I immediately have stomach pain and discomfort after eating. I still have pain from my incisions. I can lose weigh but my stomach still looks like I'm 5 months. My doctor said I should be able to eat normally after a year because I still am not healed inside.

Try taking enzymes and probiotics. Fixed my bloated stomach like a charm. Yes, I too was the 8 month pregnant man walking around town after meals. I still avoid fats and dairy, nothing too strict though. And I feel great.

Good grief! I am SOOOO glad to find that I am not the only one! I have always had a flat stomach - until having my gallbladder removed due to major stones. Since then I look pregnant - and have a new "roll" under my boobs as well. It's not pretty! Bloating after eating any kind of food at all seems to happen regularly. Taking digestive enzymes with my meals helps a bit, as does cutting out all meat. I don't each much fruit either, as that can bloat me too. Let's hope someone can give us a brilliant idea! Good luck everyone.

Hi I had a partial gallbladder removal surgery because my gallbladder exploded. My surgeon took out as much as he could safely due...he thought he got it all...well I kept complaining.of gallbladder pain..they said it'd normal. .I saw my gastrointerologist and told him about it so he ordered an mri and ctscan. .hida scan...well sure enough 1/2 off my gallbladder was still there and highly infected. ..I also had 2 bile duct strictures so I had to go to the university of chicago heptobiliary specialist for a hepaticojejunostomy and for the rest of my cholecystectomy. ..it's been 4.5 weeks and I am so bloated that my scar is raised. .it's an annoying pain..I'm calling him tomorrow to get bloodwork and a ctscan to see if my new bile ducts are leaking. .
