Thoughtful reading. Had GG out 10/31/14, Large stones x 2 causing bile to back up into the liver. Not good. Have had small spasm like pains to RLQ, thinking it's the little thing gone getting signal to work. Not an issue. Experiencing some type of pain in LLQ now, thinking it's Small bowel...what the Prof said back there makes sense...digestive enzymes needed, I got some, haven't taken regularly, and feel like I can't get my skin clean, putrification? YUK! The skin is the largest organ of elimination...that said, will increase the use of the enzymen. Just did, and my gosh I feel better. Will see what happens with the bloating, about 30 lbs over weight, and it's even everywhere. The bloating is what is obvious too. Too, I would not have elected to have this surgery, would have done anything else. Stones were just too big and causing probs. This blog is inspirationsl.

I had my gall bladder removed over a year ago, and yes I am always bloated. So much so, I get a great deal of discomfort on the area where the gall bladder was. No one medical seems to listen to this. I am really fed up with this as clothes around the waist/stomach area do not look nice, and I eat quite a healthy diet.

Just adding to your long list. I wish I had just had the gallstones dispersed rather than the gallbladder taken out. Anything high in protein and/or fats makes me look pregnant, even the healthier than meat, dairy and eggs of nuts, seeds, avocados. I keep being asked if I'm pregnant. The best I am health wise if I exist on smoothies and juices and water, but I haven't the willpower to just do that It's been such a disaster, I'm in worse health than before the operation. I also have gallbladder spasms and pain all over after the operation. The amount of people suffering here is outrageous. Surely they can just disperse gallstones instead in the future.

I had my gallbladder out exactly 7 weeks ago today and was feeling pretty good. Yesterday my stomach pain returned like it was before I had surgery and I also feel bloated and had to take my pain medicine Norcold doctor gave me. I am thinking of making a doctor appt. to get checked because I do not know if this is normal. Anybody else have any ideas?

The diet this lady is eating is a no whole protein/saturated fat diet which as you've highlighted has contributed to some unhealthy weight loss. But I disagree that she is eating simple carbs as if the veg/fruit is in some way unhealthy. White bread/pasta/rice and some simple starches are generally regarded as the simple carbs and are regarded as unhealthy esp. if your over weight.

My advice as someone with some experience with gallbladder diets etc would be to follow the Paleo diet, but to avoid saturated fats, spice and booze.

Hi all, I read this thread after I got my GB removed 10 days ago, as I was really concerned about the bloating I was experiencing. I looked like I was about to give birth and I have to say readiing all the comments here I was worried I would have similar issues. However I am glad to report my stomach is nearly back to normal with no pain. What I will say though is I am not able to eat as much as I did before so I am having to eat smaller amounts more often. My other advice would be to eat as clean as you can, my diet has always been pretty good which I think helps, but I did endulge in some ice cream and that did not agree with me at all. However this can be helped on special occasions with the use of digestive enzyme tablets, I have found these very helpful. Finally if you can, move as much as you can. Good luck everyone! I hope you all feel better soon
