This is exactly what is happening to me. I had my gallbladder out 1 1/2 yr ago. My doctor also said I could eat anything. But there are times when I eat my usual food and with 15-30 minutes I become bloated and my left side feels like my olon is in a knot and doubles me up. It isn't gas or a need to use the bathroom. I don't eat red meat or pork. I can eat the same thing I always eat and nothing happens, then I eat it another time and I go into these spasms.
I'm glad I came on this site, to see how other people have been feeling. I am going to talk to my doctor to see if he can advise me. Best of health

I have the same issue. My doctor said I don't have to change my diet. I had my gallbladder removed due to stones and stones getting lodged in my bike duct. I was fortunate enough to require open surgery after laparoscopic was started and found not to be a safe option. It has been just over eight months and I am the same weight as I went in to the hospital but my stomach is bigger. I have been on a detox diet which involves no red meat or pork, gluten, dairy, soy, nightshade vegetable free and no citrus fruit or caffeine. Plus I have to drink apple cider vinegar before every meal. My constipation from abdominal adhesions is the only thing that has gone down. But I am still wicked bloated.

Same here. I'm so bloated but I don't think it's gas like they say. How can bacteria make so much gas in 15 minutes and before the food has left the stomach? It's not possible! I've tried probiotics, gas x, diets recommended by the doctor... Nothing! I wish I had listened to the nurse instead of the doctor. She told me to try changing my diet first. I think that guy just wanted to sell his surgery and cared about nothing more. I swole up so big after surgery that I got a hernia. And it's almost impossible to exercise because I can barely breathe. These elective GB surgeries should a crime! Some of these guys are just crooks without ethics.

Had gallbladder surgery at the end of March I hurt for months after. Some of the pain is gone and I don’t know what I did for that result because I was in pain everyday.. I still bloat every day and I look very pregnant. I am nauseated a lot of the time. I am seeing a gastrointestinal doctor and she is stumped.
I have constipation problems and she wants to do this physical therapy thing for pelvic floor muscles. I have changed my diet and that helped with the severe gas. I didn’t have this trouble before they had to take out my gallbladder due to infection. So why would other things be the problem. I know they make a medication that binds all that icky stuff that the gallbladder used to store.

I had mine removed in 2010. I am a vegetarian with a very healthy diet and this happens to me. It does not seem to matter what I eat but dairy is probably the worst. I eat then look pregnant until I go to the bathroom which doesn't always happen right away either. Very disappointing that doctors don't tell you all possible side effects before surgery. I would have waited and tried some alternative things before having it removed!!!

glad i found this site, i had mine removed was only working 17% but no stones. the dr told me it was up to me if i thought my symptoms was bad enough to have it removed. needless to say i could not stop feeling like i was being poisoned, i felt horrible waited almost three weeks nothing changed, so i had it removed! everyone i talked to even dr said short recovery, WELL i was in severe pain for almost a month and after i felt great at first i lost weight down to 139 lbs! short lived, i started gaining very quickly now 170 lbs. i started taking food enzymes before i eat seem to help some but i still swell ridiculously, like 8 months pregnant it hurts and very uncomfortable,it happens so quick sometimes still eating and within 20-30 minutes its very bad, so bad i just took photos on my phone to show my dr because i plan on calling for appointment tomorrow, and i am the opposite of what people told me about everything you eat just passing through you quickly! sometimes i just dont know what to do anymore i am very miserable with the situation! I understand everyone on this sites frustration all too well.prayers for all of us to figure this out!

rough other than that pretty good does anyone else have these complications and if so what will relieve this bloating very stressed looks like I'm pregnant when I'm really not laugh out loud
