I had mine out 2 years ago and just started noticing bloating, sometimes I feel and look pregnant,,,, I have been a vegetarian for 25 years, and I still have this problem. Now I watch everything I eat that may cause acid or gas in my stomach, I started taking Rx antacids and still suffer. Going to have CT scan next.

I had my gallery bladder removed 15 months ago and have the bloated abdomen going. Mine was removed with the DaVinci robotic machine. I have always had a Small build, but now weigh the most I have ever weighed! My doctor keeps telling me that he doesn't know what is causing it. I can definitely point to the surgery as the starting point of the bloating . Does anybody have a solution for this?

I had my gallbladder removed 17 months ago - I was 26 weeks pregnant at the time. The surgeon said that it is so rare to operate so late in pregnancy but I had 2 really bad attacks that he said it was wiser to take the thing out.
I get asked all the time when my next one is due! One woman even rubbed my stomach lovingly...'get your grubby paws off my flab' is what I wanted to yell. I now just give people a random date as I am so tired of being asked the question.
I exercise frequently, eat healthily and still look like I am going to give birth in a month. I did a 1 day juice detox yesterday and by the end of the day had the most violent headache but didn't feel bloated for the first time in ages. The headache must mean that my body is storing so much that it shouldn't be?? This scares me as I eat so healthily all of the time!

Hi there everyone...I had my gall bladder out yesterday, after pain which I can say, I never want to go through again. I had a single large stone. The doctor told me, to keep on a low fat diet for a month, then I should be able to eat normal foods afterwards. I went into hospital at 85kg with no bloating ever, virtually ate nothing for 2 days...little juice cups, water, small clear soup, and about w mouthfuls of cereal...I came home today, and weighed myself, to find I was 89kgs and looked about 5 months pregnant. I'm 174cm. I will follow what the doc says and get back to you. I also am suffering 'fluid retention' as such...rings were virtually impossible to put back on, and they used to swing on me.

I am not able to give help yet, but am asking for it. I had gallbladder removal surgery two months ago at Mayo Clinic. They used the Hassan technique. I don't know if that's relevant. But my stomach is still extended and stiff as you describe, as if filled with air. Eating makes it more so. The doctor has given me no guidance. She said the bloating would disappear in 4 to 6 weeks. It hasn't. I don't know if it's the CO2 gas not yet gone inside (one friend suggested it would be a very long time, comparing it to gas emissions in the environment) If you have discovered anything that helps, please let me know. I still cannot fit into any of my clothes. I had to buy new clothes before I left Rochester.
