Anyone every thought this may be excess bile in your stomach as that was the function of the gall bladder, to store and secret bile when needed. I've had my gall bladder removed over a year and a half and have dealt with the burning pain in my stomach, left side that is somewhat relieved from snacking or eating. It's a lifestyle change, because it always happens that I skip a meal, and you'll tend to gain weight keeping the pain at bay. Not everyone I've talked too who has had a cholecystectomy has this element, some never changed their diet and are fine, others like us got the short straw.

Same here! No gallbladder and still get the horrible burning pain and still vomiting at times. I have been told that I need reflux surgery because I still have over active acid production at 97% whereas normal is 50-75%, but I just feel that it won't correct the problem. I did read where one person who experienced the same symptoms, had a stone still stuck in a duct after gallbladder was removed. I'm in so much pain all the time and I wish I had answers.

That happened to me. I had my gallbladder removed but was still getting horrible attacks. 4 WE visits later it turned out from the MRI that I still had stones in my bile duct.

Hi, guest.

It is common to experience digestive issues, including changes in bowel movements, bloating, and gas, after gallbladder surgery. These symptoms usually resolve within a few weeks to a few months after surgery. However, experiencing a burning sensation in your lower abdominal area may not be a typical postoperative symptom.

Your primary doctor has suggested that it may be IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome), which is a common digestive disorder characterized by abdominal pain, bloating, and changes in bowel movements. However, it is essential to rule out other potential causes, such as infection or inflammation, that may be causing your symptoms.

It would be best to follow up with your surgeon to discuss your symptoms and undergo further evaluation, which may include blood tests, imaging studies, or other diagnostic tests, to determine the underlying cause of your burning sensation.

In the meantime, you may find relief from your symptoms by making dietary and lifestyle changes, such as avoiding spicy or fatty foods, eating smaller and more frequent meals, staying hydrated, and exercising regularly.
