stopping hydrocodone tablets?

I have been on Hydrocodone for 5 years now and I was taking 10/500 and was prescribed 4 a day. Like I said it has been 5 years now and I am ready to come off them. I am not going to let a pill over power my life. Since, I have been coming off them I have had numbness in my face, tingling in my face, my tongue being numb. I also have had diarrhea, stomach pain and have not been able to sleep. I have been mean and hateful to those I love and that has tried to help me. I say to anyone that is put on these things walk away. Tell the doctor that you want something for pain that is non narcotic. I have been going through this for about a week now. I know it usually takes about 2 weeks. I have been detoxing myself and thats what I have done and some call it cold turkey but, if you truly want off thats the only way to go. GOOD LUCK!!!

iam on day 3 of withdrawls... today i was very emotional and mad at myself for doing this to my body. I just want this to be over with. I have no urger or want for a hydro, never ever wanna see one in my life ever again. Are emotions a part of withdrawls?? this is the only drug i've ever been on or done (besides xanax and zoloft for my anxiety... please help me with some answers... how long will this last?? I've only started takin them heavily the past yr 6-9 a day..
