What you guys are talking about sounds a lot like what I have. I'm a 14 year old female and I have reddish purple lines that look like bruises just below my hip bone on both sides. I've had them for a few months now and they don't cause any pain but I don't know any reason why or how the got there and they're kind of freaking me out. They are slightly indented and don't seem like stretch marks because of the color, but I'm not sure. They don't seem to fade when I massage them. I also have a small one on my knee that's been there for longer. It used to be purple like the others but now it has faded to pink and looks like scar tissue. I'm not sure what that means or if the others will fade as well. Again they don't cause any pain but they are annoying when wearing a bathing suit. I'm not at all overweight but I have been growing a lot recently during puberty. Does anyone know a cause or remedy for this? Please respond.

I truly recommend dermelastic serum. I had a few stretch marks on my calves and after a few weeks I have really seen a difference. I have tried many products, but dermelastic serum has been the best one.

Sounds a bit what like I have. Mine don't hurt they are just there in my upper thigh and around that area, I'm a 14 year old male so also a kid. It isn't fun not knowing what it is.

Exactly what I have. I'm also 14, male though mine don't hurt, and I can wear a bathing suit normally.

I have the same problem as both of you! I think they are stetch marks or caused by wearing heels because they seem to get worse after I wear heels all day. I started applying cocoa butter to the marks before bed and it seems to help them fade. I think if I was more diligent about applying it nightly, they might actually go away. Hope this helps!

It could be. Mine alittle bit after my father had a heartache. I have 3 on the left side and 2 on the right side. I have been very stressed for his condition. It really might've caused it. I have gained some fat too. But i still dont actually know what caused it.

I've had this problem for about 5 ish months now. One of my friemds said that it was due to your legs rubbing together and they start to scrape against eachother. She said to just put lotion on it, but I'm not sure if this is actually correct. I have started getting it on the inside of my knees, however and I think it is from the skin rubbing. Hope this helps.

I have these marks but they definitely aren't stretch marks, stretch marks are flat whereas these bulge slightly.

Hi, I've been trying to find out what it is. I'm 13 and I've had these marks on my inner thighs for about a month now. Sometimes they are darker than other times. I asked my parents to see if they knew what it was and they had no clue. I know for sure they aren't stretch marks. I thought they would dissapear in a few days or so, so I thought nothing of them. Unlike other responses mine don't hurt and they don't grow .
