About three months ago I developed these "pea-sized" pink "spots" or rashes on my skin, near where my ovaries are located. My period has been regular (I am on birth control). The "spots" are just that, clearly-defined circular rashes, not raised above the skin (flat) although they do not hurt and are not sensitive to touch or anything like that. They are not flaking or anything, just a pink discolouration of the skin. I have absolutely no idea what they could be. I did lose a lot of weight recently (about 15 pounds over the last 10 months), which is quite a bit given that that I about about 107 pounds at 5'3 (although I believe I am still within a healthy weight-range for my size - not too thin). I have an appointment with my doctor in a bit, but I'm not convinced she will know what they are either. Otherwise, I eat a fairly balanced diet and exercise regularly, and am in otherwise good health I think (it is probably noteworthy that I have not developed these "pink spots" anywhere else). If anyone has had a similar experience or can shed some light as to what these are, I would very much appreciate it!

Thank you!
Hi K. You are right in scheduling an appointment with your doctor. Any rash that has been existent for a lengthy period of time (say more than a week) should always be checked out. I am not sure your weight loss would have any bearing on the rash like symptoms but it is worth looking into. If your doctor doesn't know, they will more than likely send you to a dermatologist so that you can have a skin expert look further into it. Are you wearing any particular clothing that would put pressure on this area and cause marks? Certainly worth looking into. Please keep us posted on the outcome and what your doctor says.
