I just had my gallbladder removed one week and five days ago. It took them foreverr to diagnose, but it was enlarged, full of sludge, and white on the outside, w/no stones. Before the surgery (for four months), I did have right side pain, severe. Then I started to get tingly lips, light headed, and weak, with mid back pain about two weeks before the surgery. Now I have severe right constant abdominal pain, right shoulder pain, about a 5 in are on my upper thigh is hurting, and the dizziness and tingling of my lips just came back today. I am totally freaked out. Has anybody had the strange symptoms (besides the shoulder pain and the right sided pain) before and after the surgery?
It is normal to have a certain degree of post-surgical pain. But if the pain is as severe as, or more severe than before the surgery, then it is time to pay the doctor a visit. Surgeons are only human; mistakes and complications can and do happen.
...you are still fairly newly post op. My surgery was 5 weeks ago and I just started with the pain in my right upper back and stomach burning. Your tingling and numbness to your lips is not a typical symptom 1 week post op--it usually indicates poor oxygenation, low blood pressure things like that. How is your health in general. Lungs in good shape? Heart working well?
I think that arriba and hoseclamps are onto something. I don't think that your pain is totally typical, and the sooner you see a doctor, the better. TIngling definitely is the sign of poor circulation so there may be an issue. I don't think it's anything you need to get worried about, but it is something that should be fixed soon. Keep us posted!
I had gallbladder surgery several days ago and I am now experiencing numbness and burning in my right thigh. It is not constant, but frequent enough to question. Is this the normal?
