I am mother of 3 years old boy. I suspect on strep throat, but I can tell for sure. I wanted to check here what the symptoms of strep throat in toddlers are before I take him to physician. He is very afraid and I don’t want to take him if it isn’t necessary.
Yes in toddlers the onset of infection usually is less obvious than in older children. Toddlers who suffer from strep throat have low grade fever and onset is not rapid or severe. My nephew had it. He had clear discharge from nose and infection on his lip and nostrils
My son contracted strep throat when he 11 months old. His symptoms were: returning fever, (I would get the fever broke, then it would come back, fought this for about a day and a half), runny nose, congested cough, very fussy of course, not eating normally, and audible wheezing.
