I do not have period anymore because I have a Mirena in, but I have an old blood smell that I sometimes got years ago when I did bleed. Showering doesn't help, it is quite embarrassing. Does anyone know what the cause could be?

Same issue as all you ladies. I'm stressed out to the max! It's effecting my job, I'm a server, can't keep serving food with a side of stank. Usually around the time for my menstrual I smell that old bloody smell but now its been going on for 3 weeks! I've always had a very distinct vaginal odor but nothing like this! Its do bad I can walk in to work and minutes later I can smell it lingering. Going to doctor soon hope they have answers! If anyone finds out what this is please enlighten us.
I use to the bloody smell I put hot water vinager & salt in a bucket site over it its helps. Every women need to do this every month ofter their period.

I'm having the same issue. I always took pride in how sweet and pleasant I've always smelled and Now all the sudden it's changed, It will go from kind of fishy to like a toxic plastic smell. This has been going on for about a month and a half maybe. No itching or burning etc... Just smell that I can smell through my pants and I'm sure others have gotten some whiffs of it also... Sooooooo humiliating ! Washing doesn't do anything, it comes from the inside... A few days it stopped and I thought I was better, No now it's back
I've had the same problem for 4 years as well, been to a few gynos who all told me that it was just my odour, and everyone has a different smelling vagina, but this is horrible!
I've hidden it from my partner for 4 years so far but I shouldn't have to!!

I had the same weird, not fishy, but not right smell. I went to my doctor & got a full STD workup & told her I didn't think things were smelling right, but everything came back normal & she told me I was fine. But after a month, the smell was only getting worse. I called her again & she said we'll just try some Flagyl & see if it gets better. IT WORKED!!! After 2 days (of the 7 days I had to take it) the smell was gone!! And has stayed gone!! It started about a month after my bf & I started having sex, so I was worried it would come back, but it hasn't. If all you're tests come back negative, but you know it's still not smelling right, try Flagyl & see if it goes away. Good luck!!

I recently have come across this problem as well. Last night I took a hot bath with roughly a half a cup of baking soda and a couple ounces of Bragg's apple cider vinegar. The scent has changed to a "normal" mild scent. Honesty my whole body feels better after soaking for 20 or so minutes.
I describe this odor as being very latex/plastic like. Really bad after sex#!!! Going on since June. ObGyn test results are all NOrMAL. I've tried tea tree oil....not sure what to do....
