I really wish we could post other websites on here but we can't :(
The withdrawalease website is by far the best info I have found on the internet. This person is not a doctor and is like any of us but I think he may have helped design the withdrawal medicine as well but Im not sure. Anyone looking to get off this stuff take a 26 week period to taper if you are on 8 mg or above and by the time u get to the last couple of weeks you are just taking .5 mg a week so you are pretty well off of it by then. Also the thing I love about this taper plan he writes a paragraph for each week on what you can expect and gives you tips on how to handle it. I really feel bad for everyone that has to go through this. After I get clean Id love to be a spokesperson against suboxone and explain to people what they are really taking. Unless you are a heroin addict and have been in and out of jail your whole life you do not need suboxone, especially 3 a day. That is crazy. When I got addicted to drugs I just liked to party on the weekends. It turned into 2 and 3 days a week, then 4 or 5 and then for you know it I had to have something every day. But I still didn't need suboxone but was tricked just like most of the people on here. But I don't mean to ramble but I hope those of you trying to get off suboxone really look into this website. It has taught me so much more about the medicine and can really help all of you as well. good luck all and God bless

Sorry but you shouldn't be on this forum. Us "JUNKIES" don't need to be reminded of the "brand" that is burned into us. So go somewhere else to talk about your problems. Also poor people in pain don't usually like the warm cozy feelings you get after take 4 or 5 different drugs and patches oh and lets not forget the fact that you need to take your "pills" with your BEER!!!! You have also been on Sub for SEVEN years...that is a hell of a lot longer that most of us "junkies." And just like you were fooled into taking things by a Dr. so were a lot of us. A lot of us would have never had an addiction if it wasn't for the id**t Drs who prescribe these meds.
I am an AVID ANIMAL LOVER and whoever told you it was ok to give a feline sub needs shot. Yes animals can be given Bupe but NOT EVER in the form of suboxone tablets or strips! Buprenorphine in the form of Suboxone tablets or strips cannot be administered to cats, as it will not be absorbed and the naloxone can have a terrible effect on them. Additionally, the dose that a cat receives is not even close to what a person would receive. That's just common sense.
Sorry if this sounds harsh but damn it your post rubbed me the WRONG WAY and I don't think this is the forum for you. You may not be a "junky" but you sure as hell are an ADDICT and an animal abuser!!!!

Anyway I'm so sorry about the past few days for you D. We just have to keep talking to each other and we can all do this. I feel like we have a nice little group going...me, you, PurrP & JoJo. It is SO nice to know that you guys are out there thinking about me and please know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers.
At this point I am only taking little pieces of what I have left. I kind of wish I had a few more strips so I could taper a bit slower but I just don't have that option. So far I am doing well. I get a little tired and I am a bit restless at night but I am always restless at night. I have always had trouble sleeping. I'm not even into detox really since I'm still dosing those tiny pieces. I am going to go a few days now without any and see how I do. I am going to go out Monday and pick up all of my supplements and some pedialyte or gatorade. I would really like to do Dr. Oz' 3 day cleanse but the grocery list for it is kind of expensive....$92.00. I am so broke right now it's not even funny. The only other prescription medication I take is Celexa for my depression & anxiety (was diagnosed in 2000). I am going to go to a family doc and tell them my situation. I figured I would wait to see if my wds get very bad in case I need extra help with RLS or sleep. I don't want any benzos though. They have never done anything for me anyways. I take a natural sleep aid now that's called Somnapure. It has Valerian, L-Theanine, Lemon balm, Passion flower, Chamomile & Melatonin. It doesn't really work that well for me but it does kind of relax me a bit. The only thing that has ever helped me with sleep is Ambien. I NEVER EVER abused it because I truly needed it but no one will prescribe it anymore. They have tried giving me trazadone, elavil & even seroquel. None of them work for me and they all had terrible side effects on me. I can't take OTC sleep aids that are basically just antihistamines anyways because they do the opposite for me...they make me bounce off the walls. So I'm pretty screwed when it comes to sleep.
Today I felt really good. I felt better than I do when I take more than 2-4mg of sub. I think I told you all that it was actually making me sick after I took it. This morning the hubby and I had to get up early and go finish re-doing our rental house. The people who were in it left it a complete sh*t hole. So needless to say it will no longer be a rental. It is now for sale. We had to spackle all the walls, re do the entire bathroom, re paint every wall and replace the kitchen. We pretty much got most of it finished up today. I waited until about 11am to take my little piece. It didn't make me sick or anything...I did get a little headache but that could have been paint fumes. Anyway, after we came back home I was a bit tired so I took a little rest and then the hubby got out our dirt bikes (I just got a new one a few days ago it is a 2008 KLX 140L) and he made me go for a ride with him and the doggies. The doggies love to run with us while we ride. It's so much fun. It was such a beautiful day today and I was very glad I got to enjoy it.
Hey PurrP you mentioned you are in the North East...by any chance are ya in PA? That is where I am. And thanks for saying such nice things about my hubby. He is a great husband and I wouldn't trade him for the world...most of the time, lol. Believe me I have also had to stand by him through a few dicey moments over the last 15 years but that is marriage...for better or worse, sickness & in health. Luckily we have a marriage where we hit life head on together & we always come out closer than before. I just really hope he stays as understanding as he says he will be if I get really sick & am outta commission for a bit.
Well I am starting a new job next Tuesday at the auction. It is a very fast paced job where you have to be completely focused on everything going on. I am SO worried that I will get too sick and I will mess this up. OMG everyone will be so disappointed in me. Ugh! I can't think like that. I have to focus on getting better and I have to do my best to learn my new job. Luckily it is only part time to start. Oh boy wish me luck!
Did you guys see that post where that guest called us all junkies and gave his/her cats suboxone?? Holy c**p that post made me get so mad. I replied to it and I wasn't very nice. Actually PurrP, I think you may have replied to them. I hope I didn't offend any of you by being a bit brash but wow that just irritated me!
Well tomorrow is Easter so I hope that each and everyone of you have an absolutely wonderful holiday. I will pray that you all feel wonderful tomorrow so you can enjoy the day with your loved ones. We will be spending the day at my parent's with all my family so I can't wait to eat yummy food and enjoy my family. I will check back in soon.

Jessica, in one of my posts that didn't go up cause of problems w my computer, I wrote to you that it was very good that your new job would be part-time just in case in the beginning you're not going to feel super strong. I go back to work on Monday & I wish it was part time. You're gonna kick butt. Don't worry!! You sound like you have an amazing husband and supportsystem & a lot of love in your home.
Today was a very unusually active day. I had lots of physical energy.. My whole family was around and I was extremely happy. My brothers are so supportive & we talked a lot about what I'm going through. Fortunately, my younger brother was prescribed totally properly and barely had any WD. And we had the same dr. And we were living together at the time in 2010. He gave him like 10-15 2 mg strips w specific instructions. He gave me 60 8 mg pills and prescribed to put one 8 mg pill under my tongue 1-2 a day. Wtf??!! What's done is done but I don't understand how he advised my brother the correct way and didn't give me instructions. This was a mystery pill to me. I seriously had never heard of it & at the time I was working 60 hrs a week & didn't research myself what I waS taking. I can tell you though it was like a MAJOR high. Nothing like the 10-20 Vics I took a day. I was immediately hooked on these things but knew to bite off pieces at a time after the first dose. I was like 100 lbs at the time. I weigh less now :-( but can't wait to gain some weight in the months to come.
Im having reallybad leg pains ...only at night. I can't wait for these to go away already. This is every night. And I toss and turn all night. My poor dog has to keep re-arranging himself lol
I agree having you guys here has been so great. Jess, are you near phila by chance? Today was gorgeous out! Finally I swear the warm weather really helps!
Aside from all the vitamins I'm takingI ordered oat straw extract online today. Oz said it would give you energy in the morning & not to drink caffeine or energy drinks cause then you'll crash. I switched to green tea &trust me I have never gone green or vitamin crazy but I am trying anything to get healthy. I am so done w sub! I'll try anything.
Ok I want to address the "guest" who medicates cats w suboxone. Don't do that!!! You are a not a vet. If you wanna help them, feed them or give them water. End of story. It's wrong!!!
Happy Easter everyone!

Dina, try a combo of potassium/magnesium supplements(double the Mg). It literally took my cramps away almost completely for most of the day. I posted on here about a week ago, and unfortunately I hit a breaking point the night before last and feel horrible about it. I was having the worst heartburn of my life and coughing up blood. It is probably because i take so many different, non-narcotic medications and cannot bring myself to eat to save my life. So my stomach is totally screwed up now. I was prescribed fentanyl patches from a while ago, and still have some of them. So anyway I used the fentanyl patches, and I know it was a mistake. I am on day 11 without suboxone and it is kicking my butt. I really admire those of you who can get through this without using other opiates. Make sure your eating and drinking, even if that feels like torture. I knew I needed to eat I just was so nauseous and didn't want to. Anyway, I was a cancer patient for a few years and am currently in remission. If I got through that, I should be able to get through this right? Anyway, have a great Easter!

hey jessica, please go to the withdrawalease website and look up the suboxone taper plan. It will help you so much. Read everything about it and especially read the taper plan. If anyway possible Id try to get you around 5 more strips, the longer the taper plan the less suffering you will have to go through. I mean you can do it the way you are going to do it but if you extend your taper plan a another month it will make a huge difference. But go to the website and read all the info, you will learn alot .

a very easy way to find the withdrawalease website is search suboxone withdrawal symptoms on google and it will be like the 5th thing to come up. Click on the link and it will take you right where you need to be. Then click on the taper plan and read it all and you will get a better idea of what you need to do to get off the c**p.

Jeremy,
I have been on the Withdrawal Ease site many times. I have no way to get anymore strips. I cut ties with my sub Dr & can not afford it anymore anyways. I have no other option but to do it the way I am planning and I have to get through it the best way I know how.
Thanks,

Jessica,
Well you seem to have a good head and your shoulders and know what your doing so Im sure you will be ok. Where u were already cut down to 2mg for a while that will help. You already said u were going to but skipping days of taking your dose will help big time. It takes 37 hours as u already know for one dose to get out of your system so u can do the math, every day you skip will take your levels in your blood plasma down so withdrawels should be less harsh once they kick in. Also exercise and eating healthy are two very important things. Eat lots of bananna if u like them. Also multi vitamins should help with a steady dose of energy. Im kinda in the same situation. I like 3 more weeks and I should be done with suboxone. I started tapering in november, i can't afford to be too sick because I have a very physical demanding job and after some of the stories I have read I won't be able to work in full blown withdrawels. After my last dose im going to wait 4 or 5 days and take a vacation, that should give me a 14 day window to withdrawel. But anyways I just wanted ya to know im also getting ready to go through the exact same thing. So any info you could post on your withdrawels would be greatly appreciated. But most of all when your getting better and see the light at the end of the tunnel please post lots of details. I love reading success stories on here about people making it through the withdrawals and I know your going to be one of them. I can read a good story about someone making it off suboxone and feeling normal again and it motivates me even that much more.
Thanks again, Jeremy

I started on 24 mg of suboxone two years ago, went down to18 then 16 then tapered two mg every. Two weeks down. Zero. W / d lasted a month or so but really wasn't too bad ! I kept exercising & b vitamins helped a lot ! I have an lvad & am now waitintg for a heart transplant. So I figure if I could taper off suboxone in that physical condition anyone with reasonble health should be just fine! Good luck all!

Ya know - I read about cancer survives and transplant patients and think how much worse it could be. I give you all the credit in the world for toughing this out. My 5 year old godson has to have open heart surgery. Things could be worse than some discomfort.

Thanks Jeremy, that was nice of you to say. I am trying to stay as positive as possible. Last week I went down to 1mg with really no withdrawal and this week I am going to do 0.5mg with days in between this week. So far so good but again I know its still in my system and I am trying to prepare as best as I can for what is to come. I am hoping and praying that it won't be too bad.
I am going to make myself exercise (I have four dogs so I'm outside a lot and I ride dirt bikes which is also a good workout & clears the mind). I am stocking up on very healthy foods and any supplements/vitamins that may help me along the way.
I will definitely post as much as possible and even after I'm done I will keep posting to anyone who needs help. Reading success stories absolutely gives me motivation to stick with it no matter what and I want to be one of those success stories that helps others.
Good luck, you are in my thoughts and prayers,
