I also have the same problem, I have a sharp needle pain, that starts from my eye's.. An go to my temples, then shoots to the back of my head.. The pain is very bad.. sometimes worse then other times.. But this happens on a regular basis.. I am only a 19 year old guy.. This pain is also making me have anxiety! If there is anyone who can tell me what it might be.. please let me know!
I'm 25 years old, have the exact description that you provided and have since my younger years. Doctor has always said don't worry about it, but it is getting worse. And on a side note I get a similar pain directly over my heart and is also said to be fine. Ever find out anything different than my, "you're fine..." theory?
i have suffering now with deep head pain
Hello,
Lately i have been noticing small little headaches that come for seconds, like you describe, and they leave completely. but yesterday and today have been present pretty much all of my day. The pain is not excruciating, its more like pulsations or shocks of energy coming and going on the right side of my forehead. I though it was related to temporal arteritis, but i dont have a headache. Im living in Canada and went to visit the doctor, he had no idea what i was talking about and he recommend me a blood test for arteritis and xray for sinus. A family doctor that is in Mexico told me its more likely to be Trigeminal Neuralgia, I recommend you to read about it. My problem is the same, im taking Advils 400mg and the pulsations dont disappear. sometimes they move from the left side to the right. I dont know if i should worry, but meanwhile im having a hard time to deal with it by myself, since the canadian doctor seemed to know nothing about it.
I have the exact same problem! I get migraines about every month usually around my menstrual cycle and my grandma used to get them a lot too. I figured that the shooting pain on my right temple to right below my ear was just a side effect of that. The pain makes me want to "shrink" or cringe to make my head go to my shoulder. I last for about 10-20 seconds and it gone. They come in random spurts. They usually don't happen often; about every other month or something. And someone said that it could be part of menopause, but I'm only 17. So I don't think my case is menopause, unless I am some weird person and experiencing it very very early in life...

I just started getting these electrical shocks pains, a couple of weeks ago. I did not want to say anything to anyone, due to, I was diagnose with Lupus then arthritis and other c**p. But as soon as I have everything under control, as in all my labs are awesome no more lupus, I started with this new ouch! today I was doing nothing and just slightly touch the area, which is above the lt brow and up to the hair line. When I touch it, it is like I bumped it. But nothing is there..
Did it work ?
I have this often and actually going thru this right now. I use pseudapherine(sp) and it seems to help after a couple of days of taking it. I had all the test you can imagine and found the solution on my own.
Glad to know I am not alone regarding the sharp, shooting and paralyzing pain I have on the left side of my head that lasts for 3-5 seconds. I am uninsured and seeing a doctor is not automatically an option in America.
