oh my, I have had the arm weakness, feels heavy and it is strange how it feels, I get the zigzag lights flashing in my eyes also. I have always gotten them just before a bad head ache but now there is no head pain, just this right arm thing. It is driving me nuts

This happens to me as well, but more often over the years. I had an MRI of back & neck. I have a ruptured disc in my neck that is compressing my spinal column. Surgeon says eventually I will be unable to hold things and the numbness/tingling will worsen.

I get this frequently and have to stop and take several deep breaths. Once it passes I feel refreshed. I'm 70 years old and am in great health. Never smoked and drink very little alcohol. I do have a stiff neck quite often but no headaches. Good heart with no blood pressure problems. All labs are normal. ?????

I have episodes this sensation every few months. As a matter of fact, I have two powerful ones today. Usually a trip to my chiropractor- who is excellent- takes care of it for a few months. It appears to be something out of alignment in my thoracic vertebrae, It is definitely time for me to make a visit to him. I worried that it could be cardiac too, but it's seems an unlikely coincidence that it would stop for a few months after an adjustment.

Wondering if you found an answer. I frequently get the zig zag lights in my eyes, then started getting the arm symptoms. It feels like somebody just cut my arms off, numb, pain, etc. that last about a minute. Doctors shrug their shoulders. Scared I might be having a TIA. I had carpel tunnel surgery
about three years ago. Also have dentures so no mercury fillings problem. We have very high counts of allergy causing pollens in our area and wonder if this might be the cause.

I too have been having sudden arm weakness, severe enough to stop me in my tracks and always involve both arms. After an episode, I feel weak and achy in arms. I always forget to mention it to my doctor. But as has been mentioned, I do have low sodium but also low blood pressure. The 1st time I was scared I was having a stroke but it quickly passed so I didn't go to the doctor.

How weird, I know that googling is NOT a great thing to look up some things as they can make you think all kinds of things are wrong with you, but.......I have just had that very experience on te 6 of the 7,2017 about 12 pm, I have a spinal problem called spinal stenosis
which is a gap between two vertebrae and it makes my spinal cord hurt a great deal for which I take morphine , yes it is that bad , but I was wondering if there was any link , although this is the first time it's happened ! i am not a hypochondriac ,but i do have some concern ,our local surgery is running a Wellman clinic at the moment of people of a certain age ,i am a 73 year old man so i will be asking the question !and report back .
