I have been trying to work out who to speak to as I do not want to see my GP about this yet.
I had an abortion on 8th April this year because my depression was quite bad and I couldnt see light at the end of the tunnel. I so wish I hadnt had it now but cannot turn back time. I am rhesus negative but did not have anti-D injection after abortion.
I feel like I may be pregnant again but am aware a test will prob show I am anyway as its only been 5-6wks.
What if I am and I havent had the anti-d? I am so embarrassed and ashamed that I had the abortion and really need some help.
Thanks for listening and I hope I may get some advice x

Hi:
It sounds like you need a support system. Do you have someone to walk thru this with you? I think that would make a difference. Make sure it's someone who really cares about you. Don't be embarrassed. That won't change anything and it will just add to your depression. Perhaps you can see a different doctor who can really talk with you. Get some advice about reliable birth control so that you can prevent this situation again. The only road towards peace of mind is a pregnancy test. You can ask your questions then. If confidentiality is a concern, go to a clinic. You can at least get your immediate needs met there. Please let us know how you're doing so that we can support you too.

I know that you are going through a very difficult time--the decision that you made is a tough one, and everyone's reasons for doing it are different. Plus, after the decision is made, reactions vary from relief to regret. I know that you are having a hard time, but I think that you may want to speak to a counselor about this. If you are indeed pregnant again, you should not beat yourself up. It's not as though you intended it to happen. I wish you the best and would like to hear updates on how it goes for you.

Hi Faybelline:
How are you doing now? Have you made peace with the abortion? I hope so. Don't let it consume all of your tomorrows. You can't change it. You have to make peace with it. Have you considered a regular form of birth control? If you are pregnant again, what are your plans. If you are not, I would really recommend that you find some sort of BC that works for you. Have you thought about it. Please let me know if you are in fact pregnant and what you plan to do. I would like to be supportive. I look forward to hearing back from you. I hope that all is well.
