I wonder if coconut oil would help. I eat a lot of natural fat, I cook with coconut oil and use it as a moisturizer. It has a lot of antibacterial properties, we have even started to use it as a lubricant for sex. It is so versatile:)

It could always be worth a try to see if it could help but as for a sexual lubricant specially if your using condoms as a form of contraception as the oil could cause the condoms to split.

That makes sense! I am in menopause so dryness is an issue, but we don't use condoms.

Washing many times a day is also bad because the vagina is meant to clean on its own so washing with Vagasil, as I do too, can actually decrease the amount of good bacteria in the vagina and cause harmful bacteria to grow and lead to yeast infections

My lady friend had the same problem. The clitoris and labia lips suddenly became swollen, so swollen that her clitoris extended beyond the labia. We went on line to find an answer and were dismayed that no one had a solution. Now this began with a cyst on the right side of her clitoris about a year ago. She wanted her gyn to remove it, buy the gyn was reluctant because of the nerves in that area. After two days of swelling something gave and blood and lymph fluid came forth with a vinegar odor. She proved it was not a vaginal discharge and it continued for about 2 1/2 days after which the cyst was gone.
After reading all these posts we noticed that a cyst was common amongst most. I hope this helps.

For me, I can 100% confirm this is hormonal. I am in perimenopause and one of my symptoms is non-menstruation for months at a time. When I don't get my period, I have no symptoms at all. Life is normal and there is no itchiness, swelling or irritation at all. As soon as I start to ovulate and then menstruate, the symptoms come back. Try and track your menstrual cycle and see if you find any correlation with symptoms. I think getting to the doctor while experiencing your symptoms is also key to getting treatment. The doctor has to see/test while our hormones are in their heightened state and the culture in our vaginas has changed.

It has also been found by some woman that certain brands of sanitary towels cause these symptoms to so it's a process of elimination.

Hi, have you tried eating natural unsweetened yogurt so it boosts the natural bacteria in your body when you know your going to get an attack?

If you are looking at probiotics as a treatment, forget the yogurt and go for a good probiotic at the health store. Yogurt is touted as having bacteria but with 10,000 bacteria as opposed to the 30,000,000 in my pill, it doesn't stand up.
Hope this helps!

That's ok to say that but your probiotic pill probably cost 5x more each than a pot of yogurt does and yogurt is also nice to eat as a snack.
