For the past 6 years ,i look pregnant, and no one seems to know why .I think this bloatedness is preventing my thyroid meds from working properly as well ! i also take t3 with thyroxine ,and recently started getting vitamin b12 injections ,but this pregnant looking belly is still there .could my adrenal glands be out of sync ? Are there any good supplements for restoring good gut/digestive health for hypothyroid patients?I am so depressed about this ,also i feel as if i still have an underactive thyroid.Everything is such an effort ,and a big struggle -housework is out of the question never mind getting a job.Why are we not getting the proper help?

Don't rule out parasitic worms - can cause all the same symptoms and people overlook this sickening and gross realization!

I have the exact same problem girl! It happens to be, that I'm not eating right. You should try to eat more yougurt. It cuts back on the stomach noises and bloating. Try not to eat anything past it's experation date, and make sure that the fruits and vegitables that you eat are in good shape. Try to cut back on dariy products too, they can lead to constipation.

Swollen Stomach? What happen?

Hi, I need a bit of help. My period is two weeks late and I had a bit of brown discharge for two days. I'm nauseous at night and I feel like I have tooo much saliva. My breasts are really sore on the sides. I have done 3 tests two negative and one positive so I'm really puzzled. I feel pregnant but I don't know really. The smell and look of eggs makes me nauseous. I'm smelling things that I wouldn't usually smell. My boyfriend thinks I'm mad but I know what I'm feeling. I have really bad lower back pain.

I like all of you have the same problem and have been told by the doctor that it is probably stress. However, I'm not buying it.  I want a real answer not a probably, and I want a way to fix it.  My husband asked me what was wrong with my stomach tonight. I've tried to hide it the best I could but there's no keeping it hid any longer.  When I find out what's wrong, I'll be sure to let you all know.  It makes me feel a little better now that I know I'm not alone.

I had gall bladder surgery in January 2015 and my stomach is the same way. I was wondering what could be causing this also.

I have the same problem now for 4 years...I had my gallbladder out in 1989. I had chronic diarrhea from that day until 4 years ago, now I have chronic constipation with severe bloating. My bloating is so bad that it hurts just to take a drink of water. I have had upper and lower GI's...nothing wrong. I have had abdominal scans and CT's and nothing. The Doctor has put me on 3 different medications and still nothing is working. I look and feel like I am 6 months pregnant all the time and I am 50 years old. I am also a Licensed Practical Nurse so I know how important it is to follow doctors orders but nothing is working. How do I gain weight when I don't want to ear or drink. I am sooo tired of feeling this way, I just want my life back :'(

I know this is an old post, but if you have any update on what eventually was found or worked, it would be a life saver about now. Situation is so similar it's scary, right down to the itchy skin. I'm desperate for any direction to go in that might help.

I have exactly the same problem! And I am assuming it is Congestive Heart Failure (CHF), where the heart doesn't pump enough blood to other organs (the heart's pumping power is weaker than normal).
I have done already soooo many tests, but it seems like I am apparently healthy.
But I will go to a different doctor and see what he has to say about this.

I have the same problem as Candice. I have hypothyroidism too, and I thought they could have been connected but there's nothing to it. I'm trying a gluten-free diet, putting natural oil on my stomach before going to slip (trying to push down the lump), drink lots of vegetable/fruit juice that is all natural, and doing sit ups & crunches. It helps a bit but not the result I'm expecting since I just started it recently. I hope doing it for a month would make a difference.
