I was on synthyroid for about 12 months and my prescription ran out. I haven't refilled it and have been off it for 1 month.

For the past week, my throat is getting tighter and tighter - coughing up mucous and a horrible gagging feeling. Could this be related to stopping the thyroid medicine?
