My girlfriend was having the same or similar issues. We recently found out applying pressure actually helps the swelling go down. Hope things go well with you ladies!

you are suppose to use only about 2tbsp. baking soda, filling the tub to where you normally would to take a bath. hope this helps.

I have the same problem, but I have never had this issue before until bout a year ago. I was married for 8yrs and never experience this until I met my recent boyfriend that I have been with for bout 1yr and 4months. I thought maybe I caught something because the whole out side lips of the vagina area were so swollen I couldn"t even touch them and hurt when i peed. It scared me to death, but I went to the doctor and everything was fine. Now that I read this, it might just be because I'm older and he's pretty big in size...well I feel a little reliefe now that I herd it from other peers..

I have had similar symptoms. I have had irregular periods for the past 2 months, both times lasted 21 days with spotting and 4 days I was off. Sometimes it was a brownish discharge but I've been told that, that's old blood in the body. I have never been on birth control. My husband and I have sex maybe 4-6 times a week. I have recently been noticing the inside of my vagina walls are swollen. I don't have pain and I barely feel it. My stomach feels full and heavy all the time and I can't sleep on my stomach without it hurting. I have been sleeping on my side for about 3 weeks now. We have been trying to have a baby so I'm taken prenatal vitamins, extra DHA pills and triple strength fish oil pills. I am also using the ovulation test but they never show that I am ovulating after 60 days. I have taken a pregnancy test but it came out negative. If you have any information I would really appreciate it. Thank you!

this happens to me a lot too. i figured out that if you take a shower, and then gently massage the swollen areas between your thumb and forefinger, it helps the swelling go down.

Wow... OK, I'm a guy, and I know what you're all experiencing. My wife was having the same issues from time to time, especially when pregnant. Vaginal tissue is very delicate, as such, can be damaged very easily; either through rough sex, awkward thrusting / movements during sex, rough insertion, lack of lubrication (self or artificial), STDs, etc. Most commonly, you're just experiencing some sort of minor trauma due to sex. The skin becomes damaged to some extent, so blood flow is rushed to that particular part of the body to speed up repairs. The swelling will go down fairly soon (approximately 12 - 24 hours). Using ice, or taking a nice warm bath with some baking soda generally helps to relieve swelling and discomfort. Hormone changes during pregnancy or PMS can also be a culprit. Pregnancy is the biggest culprit if you're experiencing this while / after sex. Aside from the hormone changes, you'll also have the added affect of gravity from the baby. Very seldom does this swelling have anything to do with an STD. A lot of times, it's a cause by using certain lubricants, spermicides, condoms (spermicide / latex, or both). Some women even have allergic reactions to sperm. In particular, my wife is allergic to most artificial lubricants, such as KY. On top of that, she is also sensitive to sperm. So, to counter this problem, we just have lots of foreplay (most of the time, because sometimes there's just those spontaneous moments), and even though her tubes are tied and she takes a low dosage birth control pill for Endimitriosis, I still "pull out" to minimize any risk of swelling. Another idea is a lot of guys aren't very experienced when it comes to sex, so they simply think they can just slam it in there and pound you as hard and fast as they possibly can... The vagina can compensate nearly any penis size, as long as you take it slow and give the vagina time to stretch and accomodate the penis. Don't work... The muscles will gradually contract back to normal. Just advise your partner to start slow, and insert gradually, a little at a time with slow thrusts (in somewhat, back out, in a little more, back out, etc) until fully inserted. Not only does this give the vagina time to stretch and expand for the penis, but your own natural lubrication will begin to coat the penis and reduce irritation. I hope this helps, as I know this can be painful and frustrating. Just simply speak with your doctor, too. He / she will inform you of much the same, and possibly give you some tips on how to make life easier.

I can take a deep breath knowing I am not the only one that this happened to. Me and my boyfriend have been dating for about a year now and we have alot of sex, I had the house to my self the day before Valentines day so I wanted to do something special for my boyfriend, we put candals in my bathroom turned the lights off eventually we got to the good stuff, after everything happened, i sat down down and felt something TOTALLY wrong, my private area was HUGE i am talking BIG!, I cried and cried looking at it in the mirrior i was freaking out so bad, I called my older sister to tell her or to find out some answers, it eventually got more swollen and i was freaking out even more, my boyfriend had a blank face, we even went to the hospital, he even had to get me a wheel chair I couldnt walk at all, i thought i was honestly going to die!!, I went to get more answers some where else, My boyfriend drove me to CVS to speak to the doctor at the clinic, he looked at me like if i was stupid and just told me to take alive, honestly i didnt even think dat was possible. I even thought my first boyfriend had gave me an std for a minute since he was such a pig. I TOTALLY ruined our first valentines day it was definetely one to remember. I ened up coming home, used some ice and drank tylenol. I hope to God that never happens again.

Not enough lube. I have prob without a condom after having rough sex with not enough foreplay. Right now actually. Carpet burn is perfect description of how it feels.

I went through the same thing with my last boyfriend because of his size. Just start out slower and use lube. -And don't let him thrust so hard until you are used to him.
