I've had strep throat for the past month and have been on two rounds of 10 day antibiotics. The first round was penicillin and about two days after I finished my pills, my sore throat started up again, so I was put on amoxicillin.
The amoxicillin has been finished now for about three days and I can comfortably say I'm feeling fine so far, except that my right throat gland is still swollen and there is still a little redness around my throat. Does the disease just need to calm down on it's own? Has anyone else had similar experiences? I would prefer not to be put on another bout of these pills because they aren't that good for you. Any help would be appreciated :-)

I have the same issue, but sore throat and white spots are still present. Did you ever get any answers?
