This may be a bit weird but here goes... Hi, I'm 15 and I've been looking for a website where I could ask someone this. I wanted to say that my penis is, I don't know if it matters but is 6.7inces long and about 1/4 of an inch from the bottom down and the top part of my sack (scrotom) gets really itchy out of now where! I don't even know if it itches, more like hurts but I can't help but scratch it and it gets red. I want to figure out what iß wrong because once i was at school and asked to use the restroom so I could scratch it and I practically rippied my shorts off. I also wanted to include that I do have hair around the area but I secretly use my moms razor to get rid if the hair. It happened just before I got in the shower and I am actually using my phone in the shower currently trying to find out what is wrong because I don't want anyone to know... Please respond, thanks! :) ps: I'm not allergic to anything and have no rashes of any sort and never have.

Hi Curious,

STOP SHAVING.  At least temporarily.

Shaving breaks the skin.  That can cause an infection, folliculitis, which can cause severe itching.  If you see puss, then it could be a staph infection and you'd need to see your doctor.

Never share razors either.

Try a warm compress, warm wash cloth, on your groin to help reduce the itching.

Good luck.

Hey Curious, I've had the exact same issue, intense itching on my scrotum, Its fine for 12-24 hours but then builds and becomes itchier and itchier, as soon as I brush the area, the itch becomes immense and will not go away until scratched. Unlike what Medic-Dan prescribed, I don't shave but have rubbed away the hair from the area over the months that i've had it, the appearance of papules becomes more pronounced over the itch-scratch cycle, anti-histamines help I think, but not too sure. Theres no evident pain unless I break the skin while sating the itch. It's definitely not jock-itch, i've tried various anti-fungals and steroid creams, i'm self-diagnosing it as a sodium lauryl sulfate allergy/agitation at the moment and abstaining from soaps for the next month
