i have a lumps in my throat for 7 months with no pain but from the last month its realy hurting me andi have got a little lumps on my left side of the neck.i m realy in stress i saw doctor he said this is nothing but my mouth swallowing and i m feeling pain in swallow and neck.
You may have an infection which causes the lymph node on your neck to swell up. Difficulty swallowing may be a sign of throat cancer. You need to see an ear-nose-throat specialist for further evaluation.

Hello:
I am puzzled that a doctor would say that it's "nothing." Wow! this calls for a second opinion for sure. Lumps are NEVER nothing. Was this a real doctor? Get to another one immediately. Sometimes doctors ignore things if a patient is very young. Being young and never having smoked, unfortunately, does not make you immune to cancer. Get answers early so that you will have a lot of options to choose from. Get your peace of mind. This is very abnormal. Don't accept an answer that doesn't offer solutions. I'd really like to know how this turns out for you after seeing a doctor. Please go right away...I wish you the best.

Hi:

Thanks for getting back to me. It sounds like the test results were good. Do I mean to understand that they think this is a muscle spasm problem? Did they explore why this is happening? That would be very important. You want to know how to make the problem stop. Did they give you a muscle relaxant? That's a good temporary solution. However, you would not want to stay on muscle relaxants forever. Get to the source of the problem if you haven't already. I still want to hear what the results are....Please let us know. I'm so glad that you have gotten some answers already. You are on the right track. I almost forgot....Get that stress factor under control. Think about what you can do in that area. if you'd like, I can provide you with some stress relief suggestions. :D

Hi:
I hope that you are comfortable with your doctor's answers. I hope that his/her treatment works. However, because of the potentially serious nature of your symptoms, I would get another opinion just to be sure. It still sounds a little irregular. If I understand you correctly, the doctor feels that you can prevent throat spasms by exercising. If you are not completely satisfied with your diagnosis, get another opinion. It can't hurt. Then you can have total peace of mind. Let me know what you decide to do and how you are feeling now.
