Tingling sensation in the scrotum

Whenever I think see or hear about somebody hurting themselves (for example, home videos where things go wrong or a friend telling me about how they broke the leg when they were in a car accident) I get a strange tingling in my scrotum.
This might not even be a cause for medical concern but I just wanted to have some ressaurance.
Do other men have this sensation? Is it common? Obviously given the association with pain and area in question it could be purely psychological but could there be some other cause? I sometimes tingle even when the story or accident is not particlarly painful.
I searched for similar threads but the only ones I found were concerned with discomfort and pain in the testicles and I can't say this is particularly painful. Hope I can get some answers.
