I get up at 0430 when I work daywork. Often after sleeping only 6 hours. I get up early beause it is my time alone and to do something I like to do. I never regret getting up. I find, getting up, getting boots on the ground is the best way to go. I always feel better about getting up and running even if it is bad run. If I decide to sleep the extra hour, I always beat myself up.

Short version. Wake up when the alarm goes of, shut it off and get up right away. Once you are up, you are good to go.

Find someone to run early with you. It's easier to get going when you know someone is waiting on you.

1. I'm not much of an early riser....but my group leaves at 6 am promptly and it's 2 miles from my house. If I open my eyes at 5:30 my heartrate jumps through the roof. I've met people wearing things inside out and once with 2 different shoes.

My weekdays usually see me up at 4:30 a.m. I'm a morning person - I defnitely got that from my dad. But I can't get myself to run in the mornings - once in a while on weekends, and races are no problem, but other than that, it's tough for me to run then.
