I started off at 157lbs and so far it has been 1 month and I have already lost 5 pounds, YAY! I am really trying to get to 115-120 by summer or at least by the beginning of my senior year (in August!). But, I feel like nothing is changing on me. I really just want to be confident about my body for once, I gained a lot of weight taking time out of cheer because of my knee injury so I'm trying to get back on track. I usually work out about 6 days a week for maybe an hour to 2 hours. I try my hardest to eat healthy but there are those days where I just eat too much junk, well more limited than it use to be. I have a problem with not getting enough protein and I eat too many carbohydrates! So what are some good accessable sources of protein that I can make on an everyday basis since I am going to school? It is hard to eat healthier because my mom makes some unhealthy food choices sometimes and I can't buy too many healthy foods because they are expensive and my mom would prefer to have the "cheaper alternative". I understand where she's coming from but I want to have out whole family have the healthier lifestyle. Sorry I'm all over the place here, but how can I get helathy foods on a budget, and is it possible to lose about 30-35 pounds in just 3 months?
Read the book "Intuitive Eating". I'm studying right now so I can't go into detail but I promise that I was in your shoes and that this worked for me. It teaches you how to lose weight healthfully and the right way. It will take longer than any fad diet, but the results last forever, so some day when your skinny friends are old and fat, you will still be skinny and healthy. :)
You can have a more strict diet plan for you to effectively lose weight even without doing any excercise. Diet is still more important than exercise, but a combination of the two is still the best. What I usually do when I am not able to do my exercise during my busy schedule is to have a more protein and fiber rich foods and cut down access to carbohydrates. I am also having problems in dealing with my sluggish metabolism and being unable to contro my food cravings especially to those sweets and junk foods. I am taking pills that acts as a natural appetite suppressant. I also always drink plenty of water becuase majority of the people misinterprets being thirsty as being hungry. I hope this one can help . Good luck!
