I have a lot of the symptoms you are talking about. I am a female and have dealt with it for a long time, years. Itchy, redness, swelling, leakage, etc. The odd thing is: when I was pregnant, the itchiness went away but the leaking didn't. And, I usually have to go immediatly after I feel the urge. I thought it was because I had an epediadamey (spellling is wrong sorry) after my first baby. Didn't have this before, during my first pregnancy. It's been 13 years with an itchy, dry anus. it's hell
I had Norovirus about a year ago...came out of the blue and I suppose hell would be an equivalent journey. Without any warning whatsoever, went to bed feeling fine, and in the middle of the night, woke up with pains in my stomach most likely equivalent to being stabbed on the inside. I had by far, the WORST case of diarrhea any human being has ever had. I am talking diarrhea attacks approximately 8 or 9 times each day, being woken up from the pain in my stomach in the middle of the night or when napping finally. Ended in the emergency room since I couldn't even have so much as an eye dropper of water put back into me so I was severly dehydrated. After this bout with the Norovirus and diarrhea for about 7 or 8 days in a row, it finally stopped (I thought it was the end for me). BUT, now is where this hell has come into my life. After my bowel movement now (usually first thing in the morning after a half a cup of coffee), I clean myself with a WET toilet tissue to avoid the dryness and pain of dry toilet tissue. I thoroughly clean myself and life should be normal. HOWEVER, in about 30 minutes after the bowel movement, I use the bathroom to urinate before showering, and I purposely clean my butt to see if it was clear, and here is when I found out there's a leak of feces still to be cleanred, like I never cleaned myself in the original bowel movement. So I originally thought it was a fluke and it was because of the diarrhea from the Norovirus and it would clear up. But nope, it's still here, embarrassing as ever. No more light colored or white pants or shorts because I am 50 years old and will not risk the chance that this stuff will show up on the back of my pants. I have been to doctors upon doctors, all sorts of tests (colonoscopies, etc.), and all "normal" results. So folks, if you have any suggestions in curing this, I'd be forever indebted to you. This is like a living hell and I'm at the end of my patience. Thanks much.
Understanding this post is over a year old..... same problem. Started several weeks ago. I believe it began from antibiotics regimen. Was at the time and still am taking oregano oil. Im an organic farmer and do most of my work by hand so I am in VERY good shape. Good diet ( im a farmer I grow most of my own food) LOTS of exercise.I Do NOT trust or respect medical industry in the least. I like the way you are tackling this problem. GOOD JOB MAN. I hope you and sellinghouse have this figgered out by the time I get to the end of this blog. 20+ more pages to go.
I too have suffered for approx. 10 years with this problem. It just appeared from nowhere. It is very ambarrasing when you're at work. I clean up 5 to 6 times after ABM at work. I do have a shower if I do a bm at home. I am too ambarrased to ask my go. I am now 60 years old.
Cheers
