Hi all. I have begun retracting two days ago. 32 now. I certainly feel loss of sensitivity as it is not uncomfortable anymore. Looks and smells cleaner. Still of two minds. Head feels strangely smooth and I can now touch it without getting aroused. I am worried about the sensitivity bit. Advice?

Just like a guy that's circumcised you will find the more the head is exposed the more the skin will dry out and get more thicker over the glands and the sensitivity will be just like touching the shaft, if you want to keep some sensitivity then I would say vary between keeping it covered and uncovered that way you get the best of both.

Thanks. I am really liking it and I think I will go the whole mile. I will keep the forum posted on any positive or otherwise results. Excited. Big question. Once fully keratinised will it be possible to go back. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for all the info. I am also new to retracting. Any tips on keeping the skin back in place when flaccid and to dry the head out faster.

I started doing this when I was about 18 is guess... I'm 33 now and didn't even realise this was a thing, as in other men trying to achieve it. Best thing I ever did in terms of sex.
At first it was a little tough due to the increased sensitivity to the head and frictions mainly during the day. I did get some swelling of the foreskin for a while, maybe like 3 months or so but only every now and again. No issues at all.
Now I can't actually get the foreskin fully over the head but neither would I want to. Hygiene is great compared to. Certainly the best option instead of full circumcision if you can manage it

As for the sensitivity bit, you needn't worry. If you change your mind, you can quickly regain sensitivity simply by recovering the glans with the foreskin again.

Yes, once the penis is fully keratinised, it is definitely possible to go back as related accounts by circumcised men who go for foreskin restoration in order to get their sensitivity back. One man (uncircumcised) wrote that he went back to wearing his forskin covering the glans after many years of leaving it retracted. He reported on how quickly most parts regained sensitivity. Other parts seem to take longer as he reported that ther were small areas that were either not fully recovered or very little gain. So, yes, you would most likely get back every bit that is needed for enhanced sensitivity.

Just started wearing my foreskin back due to how tight and uncomfortable it is when erect. Pondering circumcision but figured this was an easier option to start with. Nearly 24 hours in and my foreskin is swollen and very alien looking (but not sore). Is this normal? Will it go down? Cheers

If you still have it pulled back behind the glands and it's swollen then you need to push it back over the glands again.
If your foreskin is tight then you may want to do some stretching exercises to loosen it up before you start to keep it retracted for you start keeping it back for to long.

It's only tight when erect. When flaccid it's fine. It's not tight now it's just where it's rubbing on my underwear I think. Like I said, it isn't sore it's just puffy which makes sense for a sensitive area. Was curious if anyone else experienced this and whether what I'm doing is detrimental health wise etc.

It sounds like your origional condition you describe is something called phimosis. This is where the foreskin fits tightly over the glans and often the orifice (opening at the very tip) of the foreskin will also often be tight. Long-term retraction with a condition of phimosis can lead to a condition called paraphimosis. This is where the tightness of the orifice when stretched to the size of the penis shaft can lead to strangulation (decreaced blood flow) to the penis. You can also get to where is becomes difficult to return the foreskin to its normal covered position again. You can, however, accomplish this by squeezing the tip of the penis to remove excess edema (collected blood and lymph) thus reducing the swelling enough to get the foreskin back to its normal position.
As the other reader suggested, stretching exercises are in order for you foreskin. What can work quite well is to alternate between having the foreskin retracted one time and covering the glans the next on alternate trips to urinate. This gives you half the time stretching and exposing in order to aclimate without going too long at one time in the retracted postition. Or you can do it with equal time periods like starting with 15 minutes one way and another 15 minutes the other way - and keep alternating throughout the day. I say day because you don't want to be doing it during the night as you can't keep a good eye on swelling developing. The trick is to keep the times small enough to minimize swelling. You can gradually expand the time of exposure as the foreskin becomes looser.
Circumcision should be a last option after all other things have failed and you are absolute that you really do want to something where there is no going back. I say no going back, even though there are remedies such as foreskin restoration. There is no way of getting everything back that you now have. Good luck and if you still have questions, please feel free to ask. Someone will have the answer/

Maybe stretching is the best idea, I definitely don't want to damage any blood vessels. I'll try that idea of swapping it from cover to uncovered throughout the day and see how that goes. Thanks for your input
