If the foreskin and/or the glans get swollen is due to poor blood flow, probably because your foreskin is too tight. You might like to stretch it out with your fingers for 2 or 3 days, and try to keep it retracted again. Only skins that are tight (to some degree) stay behind the glans permanently: if the skin is loose it will roll forward when the erection goes. However, in some cases, the glans develops in disproportion with the shaft and skin rolls back never to return to the normal position. Since you are 48 y/o that don't think this is your case.

Hi all, I have been keeping my foreskin retracted for almost one week. Some moments I leave it alone, with the glans covered but most of the time I try to keep it back and it stay back on it's own. I am from Venezuela and I want to go this way because at this moment is comfortable, I like the look and women are glad with smells. I think that looking circumcised add a factor "WOW!" in a country where circumcision is rare . Also because, i don't no why but I am almost every time wet under there.

I have been retracting my foreskin now for 3 days. I found it hard to keep my skin back at first so I decided to buy a rubber o ring. I bought several different sizes and found one that fit just right. I also cut the ring and that allows it to expand during unforeseen erections. I can't even feel that I have a ring around the bottom of my glans. Last night was my first night sleeping with it and it was ok.... Had a lot of erections which woke me up cause I'm still sensitive. i am looking forward to my new look. My husband also likes the look of it. But he is happy I still have skin to play with.

I always felt envious of the circumcised guys in the locker room but I could never justify the operation because my foreskin was large and wide. At 33, because a severe irritation at the opening of the foreskin I suggested the operation to my doctor, and I was circumcised. I got a lose circumcision (not knowing I could have asked for a tight one) and my glans penis continues to be covered when flaccid, even though I try to keep the foreskin folded behind the head . Not all men can keep the foreskin retracted permanently. It depends on how long the foreskin is, and how tight. If the opening is not very wide, you can retract your foreskin until the opening passes the crown of the head, and leave it there. If the opening is too tight it may begin to swell up, in which case you have return it to its normal position ASAP. If it doesn't get swollen you may have successfully obtained your purpose. However, if you are in your teens or early twenties, it is possible that your penis grows in length and thickness faster than the opening of the foreskin, and the welling begins at a later time in which case you should see a doctor. For this reasons I suggest that don't retract it before going to sleep. Better do it in the morning so that you can check you penis every so often during the day to make sure there is no swelling. Once you have done this for several days with no swelling you may try the 24/7. But again beware of swelling at least until you are 24 or 25 y/o. I hope to have helped. Good luck.

I had phimosis in childhood. during my teen age i started pulling it back and it cured. I try to keep my foreskin retracted almost all the time but sometimes it slips back. My question is if i keep the glans covered for someday will the phimosis again come?

You can use a tube of Oragel (for tooth aches) to numb the area & cuticle scissors (fingernail) to clip the frenulum.
I pierced the end of my foreskin when I was 14 & it didn't hurt (wore a thin 18k gold "sleeper" earring). I lost my frenulum when I was 8 in a soccer accident but still had a sliver of it & removed that tiny remaining strand that way.
At 15 I gave up on piercing & decided to try foreskin retraction. The first year I used an elastic from a cardboard car air freshener (pinetree shaped). It has *perfect* tension: not too tight, not too loose.
