Everything goes really fast like as if you fast forward yet your absolutely normal.

I really wonder why this happens

I'm really worried and I'm super stressed

So... anyone got the answer?

I was replying to someone else's reply too. But I this not as frequent as I use to. But it's exactly the same. And most are right in describing it to feel like an adrenaline Rush to the head. I never ththought of describing it like that. I wish I knew what this was tho.

You explained it so perfectly I am 15 and I get the same feeling, actually it's happening right now and it does not go away quickly it usually happens when I'm extremely exhausted or have a fever/cold all I do is sleep well try and it goes away when I wake up it never happens in the morning only at night and when I try to sleep the same feeling is in my dreams too so it's really hard to fall asleep without getting scared

Well I'm a 13 year old girl and I'm having this weird feeling right now. Its kinda strange how some people don't feel like this, and we do. It might be adrenalin from sitting around for too long. I think that because I usually get it after I come out of the shower/bath. I just did and seeing how I have the feeling it could also have to do with when u feel dizzy or nauseous after you come out of he shower. This is from standing up too long, the temperature of the water, etc. As I typed this the feeling went away completely. Its pretty interesting.

Wow. This is so weird. My sister and I had these symptoms when we were kids and the only reason I googled it is because it's started happening to my daughter. my sister was told it was anxiety but that never felt right to me. I have anxiety issues and it just doesn't feel the same. It's a real relief and great validation after such a long time (I'm 43) wondering about it. so many people just fobbed it off when we were kids. I remember one lady suggesting to my mother we had worms! That's just nuts. Anyway, how amazing to get a bit of an explanation! Got to say though, I think here's a lot more we could find out about this if someone took enough interest. Or, maybe we're like the Xmen and have super powers!!!

Wow I'm amazed others have this too, I'm finding writing this rather difficult as it is currently happening for the second time since I was 12 years old, the first being yesterday! I came online to try self diagnose and came across this thread straight away! If anyone knows what this is or why could they be kind enough to let me know?

I want to thank all of you for making me feel like there isn't something wrong with me. I have had this "Fast Feeling" for years. I remember having it younger than 10 (I'm 33 now), it went away for a long time and I actually thought it went away but now recently it's been coming back for some reason.

I can actually trigger it now, mainly by doing activities where I need extreme focus or tediousness. Examples of this are working with numbers and calculations, and oil painting detailed portraits.

It's extremely hard to describe and when I try to explain it nobody knows what i'm talking about. Thank you for verifying this with me.

Wow. I am 31 years old and this has been happening to me since I can remember. I've never really linked the experiences as mine have morphed as I have gotten older. As a child I would see the room shrink or grow in size. My fingers would feel fat and bloated yet look completely normal. My tongue would feel the same. I would believe my heartbeat had sped up, yet if I placed my palm over my heart, or if I felt my pulse it would be as steady as it always was. As I got older the experiences reduced dramatically. Nowadays, it is incredibly rare that the above experiences occur. It is more common for my brain to speed up. I feel like my heart is still pounding, but more so that my brain is working at double time, sound are clearer and words sharper. My own voice sounds louder yet people ask me to speak up. Just the other day I felt dizzy, almost nauseous before the experience came on. I honestly thought I was alone in this feeling, after reading this thread, I can happily say it has given me some perspective. I would never have thought to go tot he doctor thinking that this was all in my head. I can't see this being an inner ear issue as I have it for most of my life, but perhaps the dissociative disorder is a route to go down. If my doctor gives me anything new I'll come back and post it on here. Thank you to everyone who has commented on this thread. It makes me feel less alone.

I would often have voices, like a hundred voices I've never heard before "consciously", speed up in my head if i was really tired and falling asleep. At first it'd be one voice, a females usually, then multiple voices pile them selves and it seems to come from every direction and speed up until i couldn't understand what was being said. Just a big pot of voices every night from 5 to 10, now, once in a while if i look for it. Am i alone here?

I'm 37 years old and this feeling of myself moving extremely fast has been happening for years. It happened a lot when I was younger, like 8 to 10 years old. Now it happens very rarely, maybe twice a year. For me it's nothing I ever worried about. I just started searching the Internet for what this could be and came across a few forums like this, but no reason why it happens. The reason I've started searching is because my son who's 11 has been having the same thing happen to him, except he also sees things as if they were really far away. I never had that happen to me before. I would love to know what this is as well.

I would get these every once in a while since I was about 7. I'm 16 now and having this "feeling" again (while doing homework) after not having it for a long time worried me. I always thought it was caused dut to lack of water. I decided to look it up online and am a little assured now that I know i'm not the only one experiencing this. It never really bothered me too much, but after researching it briefly online it scares me to think this could be a nervous system disorder. When this "feeling" happens I feel like everything is moving fast and outside noises are really loud. I really want to know what causes this.
