Wow, I just got it while I was playing Sims 4 lol. Searched up the symptoms on google for a bit and then found this thread. Pretty much what everyone is describing is what I've experienced.

I used to experience it way more when I was a kid, but only once or twice a year now (I'm 26). Kind of made me feel weird when I just had it, but it was almost calming when it happened as a kid. I used to see images in my head getting closer and then getting farther away, accompanied with fast thoughts rushing through my head. Almost kind of feel a weird pressure in my head as well when it happens, but it only lasts a few minutes.

I don't think it's anything to be alarmed of though. I'm glad I'm not the only one!

Like many others I would experience this when I was younger. I haven't had an episode in years though now 33. The way I would describe it is I would wake up feeling this overwhelming feeling of sadness. I would be crying and upset not from a dream but a feeling. Along with the heavy feeling of sadness I would feel in my mind something speeding up then slowing down and also things getting bigger then smaller. I would also feel drawn to the corner of my room. The only thing I could do to shake the feeling would be to turn the light on and play my radio until it passed. I don't know if any if you are spiritual but I always thought it was a presence of some sort especially since it use to happen more when I was younger and they say children are more "open" than adults. I am glad to find this forum I have wondered for many years what and if anyone else experienced this.

I always thought that i wasn't the only one who had this. The first time i encountered it,, i was freaked out,,
i'd just lay on the bed,, hearing various sounds that actually was nothing. And for some reason i felt Anxious every time it happened. Idk, is this really The Alice in Wonderland Syndrome ?? i don't think i experienced size distortion or things like that... it isn't like in the movie... it just,, i feel everything happens so fast, i can't even catch up...

i also get this feeling, and as you i used to get it very often when i was little, but now i also get it once or twice a year, it is very strange and very annoying when i get it, my thoughts star going really fast and everything around me does to, but i am conscious that they are not and when looking at them i can perfectly see that the are not doing so, i feel that my thoughts are getting louder and louder and i start thinking really fast and sometimes i even get dizzy, i even used to cry about it when i was little i am very please to know that more people have this and that i'm not absolutely crazy.
if any one finds what it is please let me know, it would be very interesting to know what it is, as many of you i am not worried at all it is just simple curiosity what strikes me thats all

I'm 14 and I have had this since I can remember but it's a lot more frequent. I'm glad I'm not the only one who gets it. I just feel like I'm going to pass out when it happens so I just try to lay down and shut my eyes and it does the trick x ❤️ Hope there is some kind of 'cure'

I feel like anything related to the head is automatically a magnesium deficiency.

Ive researched and read so much information about magnesium- learning by the master Dr. Carolyn Dean.

The magnesium called Remag is 100% absorbed and can relieve migraines in minutes...im sure it can help towards any other problem in there :)

I'm having this feeling right now as I type. I don't think I've ever told anyone because it's difficult to describe and it doesn't happen very often. When I was little it would happen a lot more, but now that I'm in my 30's it only happens about once every two years and I just forget about it. I know things aren't moving faster, but it feels like they are in my head. I also get this very strange feeling in the end of my finger tips while I touch things. I can't explain it. It's kind of scary and kind of cool at the same time. I think it's always happened to me after I've played a lot of video games or am doing a task that involves a lot of repeating the same motion. Has anyone found an answer to what this is yet? There are over 63 pages in response now.

WOW. Here here! I used to experience this exact same feeling when I was a kid -- 1) my perception of everything was amplified and distorted -- the tiniest sounds were singled out in my head, and sounded overwhelming -- the hum of a fan, for instance. Items in my room that were near looked far far away, like they were down the end of a very long tunnel -- for instance the red numbers on a digital alarm clock -- then, they would look gigantic, and I would feel tiny. All sounds would disturb me -- like they were thunderously loud. AND, I would feel like everything I was doing was super duper fast, even though I realized it really wasn't. I remember sometimes this strange state would come over me while taking a test in school, and I literally could not focus to answer questions -- at all. The ticking of the clock on the wall, every single tick, threw me off with how loud and distinct it was -- oh yeah, sounds were "distinct" -- the wall of sound that might naturally occur in a room as a general background noise became a series of completely distinct sounds. When I was really young, I called it "hearing patterns."

SOOOO, I am now 37 y.o., haven't had this for YEARS ... until ... JUST NOW. I lay down to go to sleep, and this phenomenon hit my like a ton of bricks. Panic inducing. Here's the interesting thing -- I just took 900 mg of Tylenol ... and I never take Tylenol. I'm travelling with a buddy, and he offered me some for altitude sickness / persistent headache, and WHAM - that same old feeling from when I was a kid. When it hit me, I googled "everything feels like it is moving really fast" and found you guys. Like everyone else on here, I feel really relieved to finally know others experience this insanity. I am about to keep searching and see if the correlation to Acetaminophen brings anything up. Best of luck to you all!
