I too fell it. Is it normal?

Interesting to see that other people also experience the same thing I do. I feel like it’s only ever happened at night for me. Usually when I’m tired and it happened when I was concentrating really hard on something. I think the first time it happened to me I was running a fever. Same symptoms though: sense of urgency, everything “feeling” like they are moving fast but they are not. Also everything seems louder. Like if my legs are rustling under th covers it sounds loud and urgent. So strange

I'm so surprised to know that I am not the only one who has this strange feeling, I just had it this night, it feels like everything moves fast and loud around me, even my thoughts are very loud in my mind, it's so scary, I try to move to make it go away but every movement I make sounds loud and fast, I know it only happens in my mind and it's not true but I don't know why it happens? I had this strange episodes since I was 7-8 less than 4 times a year, and now I'm 22,mybe it has something to do with my sleeping problems, and my anxiety and anxiety attacks, but I'm not sure, because it always seems to happen to me when I'm lying in bed at night, or when I wake up at night and I can't get back to sleep (it's called sleep deprivation), I'm not sure but I hope it's not something bad.

Wow I get that feeling about 2-3 times a month. Never really paid it a thought until now when I decided to look it up

So strange, I only remembered this happening to me as a kid (maybe between the age of 6-10) recently. It was as if everything was in fast motion, when in reality it wasn't? I also had that feeling sometimes of the floor or a room expanding underneath me. I could sometimes switch the fast thinking on and off as a pleased during the day... but I would literally have to repeat 'slow down' until it slowed back down. Strange! I'm to scared to see if it happens still at the age of 26 haha.

Yeah it's quite a strange thing, though i'm not sure of it's main cause/reason, but i think(not sure) it could be because of adrenaline rush in brain. So even though you percieve things as normal, your brain reads that information twice as fast if not more. And therefore yoi end up percieving things faster. It happened to me once when i woke up after after falling asleep on the couch and another after raging on a game that i kept dying. But ihope this helps in some way, i'm still a student and would want to know it's actual cause but it's not that dangerous so it's ok if you've had it. Although please go and ask a doctor if this thing happens more than often.

I've had this fast forward sensation since I was a kid from around the age of 7-12 and never talked about it to anyone. It actually never came back again except only a couple other times. I'm 32 now. I've looked it up a few times years ago when it happened again and never found out anything about it until tonight when I looked it up again and saw how many others share the same sensation. Which is great and all to know there are others out there, but I haven't been able to find any legit sites or doctors having this as a diagnosis or why it occurs or anything like that as of yet. Anybody have any leads on a doctor or site that has researched this with any results of what it is exactly?

Same here. Only had it mostly when I was a kid and pretty often I suppose. I am 32 now and It happened again a couple times in between a span of a few years. I never talked about it to anyone because it was just something I knew that most wouldn't understand and I could never find anything on it so I just ignored it. Now seeing how many others share the same sensation, its intriguing to me to eventually find out what the cause could be.

Just to add on what I wrote: I found an "Alice in Wonderland Syndrome" AWS as they call it but I've never had migraines or any other health complications that could have caused this sensation. I only had the feeing like everything is going in fast forward motion in my head but I always knew that its not in reality.

Oh my gosh, this is a huge relief to know I'm not the only one. It started when I,was around 6, and I am now 22. I called it that weird head feeling. My dad experienced it as a child and free out of it. I however have not, i still get them a couple times a month and it makes my anxiety skyrocket. I feel out of place and not comfortable in my own skin. Id love to figure out what causes this. I use to think I was going insane !
