Hello. I am a guy that is 32 years old and I have a father that probably has kidney stones. I know that it is formed by crystallizing substances that are usually dissolved. I know that they can be removed with a surgical procedure. Besides that, I do not know how they are treated. Could you tell me something more about this subject?
Kidney stones form from minerals in urine. Most of the kidney stones will pass, and will be eventually dissolved, but the bigger ones need some sort of treatment. It can be treated by remedies that help these stones dissolve, and the biggest stones require operation. There are a few other ways – like laser and ultrasonic therapy that I am not familiar with.
