After shaving take a alchole swip and pass it on your vagina it might burn a little but not a hole lot

Lol, "a hole lot".

I'm a 21 year old boy/man, and I've shaved for about 4 years. I used to get the red bumps and itchiness, but the red bumps stopped appearing after enough shaves, suggesting to me that my skin has gotten thicker there. The itchiness is something you can get used to if you just don't think about it. Takes balls (hehe) to ignore the itchiness for weeks on end, but if you don't want to keep smearing stuff on your genitals, it's the best/only option.

GL!

So I'm 17 and I've been shaving for as long as I can remember...which is like since I started puberty because I just don't like hair anyway, I use Venus razors and shaving cream and at first it was rough because always when a person first starts shaving it takes some getting use too from the body. But after a while It stopped bothering and I kept doing it. Now my mom got me a store brand box of razor that resembles Venus so you'd think that it work the same way....no. I immediately got irritation the day I used it and to put on vagisil to stop the dam itching

Keep in mind the razors you use COUNTS
Don't get cheap razors because the skin in genital area is extremely sensitive get good shaving cream and razors and I bet you after a while you will feel so much better.

1. if you use a bar soap then use something with glycerin in it (it makes it really have a great lather), or if using a liquid then use something with a great lather (dove is pretty good, or anything that is really thick).
2. do it in the shower ot bath after letting the area "warm up" around 10min, it relaxes the shaving area
3. just change out your shaving blade one a month (i have it on a calender when to do this)-dull blades=irritation
4. closer shave if you go against the grain but more irritated, go with the grain and less irradiated (decide for yourself)
5. after shaving let it completely dry (moisture=bacteria and that makes the area angry from microbes), and you can apply a quick swipe of antiperspirant (the aluminum oxide act like a barrier to irritation), or you can use hydrocordozone cream (the gel is not effective).
6. try not to shave down there everyday once every 3-4 or you can make your skin irritated.
7. shower after sex, shaving and then sex that night will always give you redness but you can minimize it with washing fluids off after (vag juices are at a higher ph level then skin likes=more acidic).
plus you might just have to try a different type of razor, the two bladed ones seem to work really well for myself, but when i was younger it didn't really matter so it really is a little trial and error

Instead of doing it every 2 days, try once every week. It'll be better for your hairs to adjust and what not.

Also, make sure you always MOISTURIZE. Baby lotion, baby powder, or specific lotions for that certain area. I perfer Johnson's baby stuff because it's for babies, so it's good for sensitive skin. When using lotion, try going for once in the morning and once before you go to sleep.

Before shaving make sure you've let the hair really soak in warm water. Whilst shaving, make sure you have shaving creme or hair conditioner/shampoo. Never ever shave with just water.

If possible, sleep without pants and underwear. It'll let your hairs breathe, which is good. . Hope it helps somewhat :}

Hi there... I've been shaving for 10 years and have few issues anymore. From time to time, I will get razor burn or develop an itchy rash or redness but its rare. There are a few very simple ways to prevent discomfort and make shaving easier. These are things that I learned over time, and want to share it with whoever needs the information because it saves you a lot of pain/discomfort/annoyance.

BEFORE YOU SHAVE:

- Trim the hair down short with an electric trimmer or clippers. Anywhere you plan to shave (the labia, your bikini line, your rectal area, etc) trim it short because this prevents you using the regular razor over and over in the same spot to get the hair which causes irritation.
- Sit in a warm bath or take a warm/ hot shower and plan to shave at the end. Warm water softens the hair making it easier to shave.
- Exfoliate with an antibacterial soap (Dial bar soap, Safegaurd bar soap, etc) with a wash cloth. This prevents irritation after shaving and makes a HUGE difference with the smoothness of your skin after shaving.

WHILE YOU SHAVE:

- Use a new razor that have a multiblade design. Once again, this prevents you going over the same place repeatedly and prevents irritation.
- Use a thick shave cream or even the anitbacterial soap, and shave with the growth of the hair. For women, there are many directions of growth, take your time and then rinse well. Feel for any hair, and repeat this step as needed till most the hair is gone.
- Once you rinse, run your fingers over the shaved area, if needed, add more shaving cream/soap and shave against the grain to get a close shave. Do this only once to prevent irritation.

AFTER YOU SHAVE:

- Exfoliate once more with the antibacterial soap once you are completely done shaving.
- Use Witch Hazel on the shaved area after you pat dry. This is an anti-irritant and very inexpensive (Bikinizone does the same thing buts its about 30 times the cost, no exaggeration). Its natural, but has a strange smell. No worries, once it dries the smell is completely gone and you smell of soap and your natural scent so if you are getting ready for an intimate time, you will be fresh and good to go.
- If this is maintenance shaving, after the witch hazel dries, use baby powder all over the shaved area. Apply enough to coat your skin because moisture from sweat (you sweat in your sleep and all the time during the day because its a warm area to begin with) causes most of the issues with irritation and discomfort, razor burn and even contributes to ingrown hairs which are TERRIBLE.

Hope this helps... trust me, I am very particular about my privates and have been in serious pain from shave bumps, ingrown hairs, and the like. These tips really do work and you'll feel the difference the first time you try the witch hazel and powder for sure.

I too am embarrassed to admit this but I too shaved "down there" and shaved the whole sha bang it's really embarrising but helps to know that others have done it too. The alcohol wipes do work but I reccomend you leave it in a centered position between the labia lips and anywhere else it specifically itches it will help

Just saying that im only 13, and i shave weekly.. and its not the hair doesnt grow back the next day, but i just let it grow back until the next week.. also what i noticed that if u just make sure all of the hair u just shaved is off ur razor, then it really helps with the razor burn.. i also use shave cream first, completely shave it all the take bikini zone shave gel and shave it again, (i dont know why but it helps!) Then as soon as u get out of the shower i use bikini zone after shave gel and put a generous amount on every part i shaved, make sure to rub in completely, and remember to repeat this before u get up

This will sound rather strange , but i looked this up once also and i discovered hairspray . Of course , shave the way the hair goes , dont shave against it , but afterwords , spray hairspray on it . It will burn but its because its working . Do this a soon as you shave and make sure your vagina is dry before you spray the hair spray . Let the hairspray dry and get over the burn , then put lotion on it . I would recommend something unscented . And of course , dont get the hairspray inside the "lips" as this could more than likely cause and infection . Hope it works !!(:

I'm 13 female and i've gotten razor burn before but for the first time i got things that look like open sores with dry skin around them. I'm not sure if its from itching so much or something else. Right now its sore and itches, and i have them on my bikini zone so wearing panties hurts. I'm not sure what is happening, if this is normal or i should go to a doctor. i didnt have sex though i only shaved. Please help
